  1. Welcome! Open a cold one and stay a while.
  2. Welcome!
  3. Welcome!
  4. I've got the NAA 22 mag/22 lr combo and a Bond Arms 45LC/410 snake slayer (only two but up close, that's all you'd need--whew!). Love them both, but usually only "wear" the BA when in the car. Can't beat the NAA for concealment. If you're set on 22WMR, then as others have already said, go NAA.
  5. What? Got my Academy Flyer in the mail yesterday and now this? Woo hoo! OK, back to work now....
  6. Welcome! Lots of Knoxville folks here!
  7. Had all 4 done when I was 37 years old. Took me a weekend to recover. 1. Do exactly what the doctor tells you to do. 2. Get some ice packs to help with swelling. 3. Embrace the Demerol or whatever they give you! (I went off two days early, and was fine just with regular Tylenol). 4. Don't use a straw to drink. 5. Get some of those "Ensure" or other protein drinks that taste somewhat like a milkshake (close enough--LOL!) 6. Do exactly what the doctor tells you to do. 7. Do exactly what the doctor tells you to do. OK, you get the pic. Best of luck!
  8. Welcome from just up North in K-town.
  9. Welcome! from just north of ya'!
  10. Welcome! Good wishes for you in your studies as well. When you finish up, I hope you're able to procure a position with a pharmacy that will allow you to carry on the job!
  11. Welcome--glad you joined!
  12. Welcome from a fellow, FORMER, Northerner.... Glad you finally made it to God's country!
  13. I have often thought the same thing.
  14. Yes! I got registered! I think there were only 5-6 slots still left after mine! Will be good crew. I'll be bringing my 10/22 for the rimfire part. My only centerfire is a 45 colt lever action.....probably not the best, right? Hmmmm...., maybe Santa could bring me something for an early Halloween present--LOL! Which centerfires do folks bring? Semi- or bolt? I'm very newb to rifles and am kinda intimidated by the sample targets I got from Fred's online store--wow....1 "? Whew! Will still have fun even if I don't get the patch the first time! I'll try and remember to wear my TGO hat. Thanks for the post!
  15. Welcome!! Like the sign in my house says, "I wasn't born in the South, but I got here as fast as I could!"
  16. I'm going in October--looking forward to some rifle help, good history, and getting to see the range--always wanted to go and never found the excuse/time. I'll be sure to wear my TGO hat in case others on here attend (not assuming anyone would want to see my ugly mug up close in any case, though--LOL!)

To the OP: I wouldn't feel bad at all! Being a newbie shooter one of the first questions I posted here was about the difference between 45 Colt and 45 Long Colt. As you have found, folks are very helpful, informative, and point you in the right direction. Every time I log-on, I feel like I'm "being schooled".
  18. I'm tentatively planning on going in October!! Love history and will always take pointers on how to shoot better! Thx for the direct link to the flier and registration.
  19. Welcome! Glad you found TGO and got here as fast as you could!
  20. Will keep you and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers--family is indeed THE most important thing. Sounds like you already knew that by appreciating her life and dedication to her family while she was with you all. That's priceless. Take care.
  21. Welcome from another K-Townie!
