  1. I purchased an M&P15 yesterday and when I took it to the range I experienced some malfunctions that I think were "failure to feeds" When I fired a round the action would cycle, but the bolt would not strip a round from the magazine and shut on an empty chamber so that when I tried to fire the next shot nothing happened. The magazine has a little play when seated and I can wiggle it back and forth a little bit from front to back. The other issue that I encounter is I went to seat the magazine with the bolt locked back one time and the bolt was too far forward in the bolt carrier to allow the magazine to be seated properly. I am not sure if these malfunctions are equipment related, or if I am doing something wrong. Any advice?
  2. It looks like he tried to fire it with an obstructed barrel. My guess is he tried to fire a round of 9mm out of it (it's a .40) and the brass got stuck in the barrel as the next round of .40 chambered, but it could have just been a squib. He's going to send it back to Beretta to see if they can fix it.
  3. I didn't get the Sigma, I am going with the free magazines and knife deal. Pics to come soon.
  4. Thanks to Joe at Hero-Gear, I am the proud owner of a new S&W M&P15. Now what? I am reading up online and there is so much conflicting information that I am not sure where to start. My first question is should I break in the barrel, and if so, how? I'm sure I'll come up with more questions as I go, but right now that's the big one. What do you guys think?
  5. Mini helicopter! The dogs hate it.
  6. A friend of mine blew one up last night. I'll post more details after I get a chance to inspect the weapon.
  7. BAH HUMBUG!
  8. That is one of the funniest things that I have ever heard.
  9. I think 48 state wide is enough. If anybody wants to swim to Hawaii, or hike to Alaska, I say leave them alone, they earned it!
  10. Umm, yea, I've gotta mow the lawn, or I would ....
  11. I thought that would turn out being your problem. Glad I could be of help
  12. Welcome. What kind of Bogner do you have? A buddy of mine has had the Shiva, the Ecstasy, and the Metropolis, and they have all been amazing. Bogner makes a great amp.
  13. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the castle doctrine also protect you from civil liability if the shooting is ruled good?
  14. I have had this problem before. Adjust your crimp die down a little more and that should take care of the problem. Also, if you are using FMJ bullets don't expand the case mouth so much. If you are loading single stage, you don't really have to expand it at all.
  15. This hippo thing is cracking me up! On topic, I've always liked Arizona.
  16. If it gets that far I think who calls the police is the least of your problems.
  17. On a slightly related note, there is a clothing store in Memphis that is marketing a line of ladies blue jeans called "apple bottom jeans" that are tailor made to fit those with exceptionally large "badonkadonks".
  18. 700 pounds really isn't that much. Wheels are key, wheels are key.
  19. I live in Collierville and move pianos for a living. What time does the safe come? I'll get off work this afternoon sometime, if you don't have it figured out by then I'll come give you a hand.
  20. So, does anyone care to discuss the appropriate action if your neighbors hippo wanders into your yard acting aggressively...
  21. I'm retarded. I didn't get that until just now, and it's pretty funny.
  22. What part of the state do you live in?
  23. No one has suggested biting the dog back yet?? That's my plan, at least
  24. I had to guess, seeing as I've never been in a "combat situation", but if I find myself in one, I intend to use my sights and that is how I train. I'm interested in seeing responses from those that have actually "been there, done that."
  25. Oh yea, and this one made me laugh, I wish there was a smiley that takes his hat off.
