From the TFA..Restored felons lose their guns
Tim Nunan replied to dunndw's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not sure if I need my tinfoil hat but this certainly lowers the number of potential gunowners; not unlike actions at the federal level to declaring all veterans seeking help for PTSD ineligible for gun ownership. -

This was an outstanding program. Tom presented a history of the laws affecting what is known as NFA (Nation Firearms Act of 1934) items. We learned the value of some of these items and how the the 1968 and 1986 gun laws have affected the values of various firearms. Tom is a good speaker and was able to concisely answer our questions.

Mr. Ford spoke on many issues which expressed his conservative positions primarily his concern that the 11th District has not benefited from the current representation in the State Assembly. When asked what he considered appropriate restraint on firearms Mr. Ford responded "Felons, they shouldn' have them."

Selected for two juries, one a murder case. No questions asked concerning firearms or any groups to which I may be member.

You're quick to assign me to the tinfoil hat brigade merely because I don't blindly accept a carrot from federal legislators on an issue that might be favorable to me. Now if the bill was justified by referencing the 2nd Amendment by the application of the 14th Amendment it would be a major gain for gun owners on many levels. As is at least this bill is better than a federal carry law which of course currently would never pass and if passed would be subject to qualification requirements written by many who don't trust an armed society. -
Is there a specific maximum lead time required to have events posted on the calendar? Asking so I can make submissions far enough in advance to be effective. Thanks.

Quantity of posts does not represent credibability while quality might. Hundreds/thousands of posts merely means one has the time to respond regardless of the content.

Not bad - we made to page 5 before the personal attacks began. HunterH, thank you for starting a good discussion; learned a lot, at least until page 5. Like others I too wonder why we attack those with varying opinions:shrug:

Got this email from a bullseye list and it made me remember that I haven't made a personal record of my firearms. Photos, particularly showing the serial number appears to be a good idea. ****************************************** There is a thread running on the CMP forum about this a fellow who got hit, some sad stories here and lessons to be learned! http://www.odcmp.org/new_forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=51121 I think tough times brings the bad out of people looking for ways to come up with cash, we may be seeing more of this problem in the near future. Photograph, document and lock up those treasures and put a rider on your home owners policy for them, doesn't cost that much!

Just what I was thinking. Don't like the rules? Break them and then force a rules change.

I think the post count should be discontinued; it serves no purpose and if eliminated perhaps we'd have fewer "me too", etc.
