Thanks for the info. That seems like a good price on a very nice looking gun.

Does the fit and finish look as good the person as it does in the picture?

I think there are people who are stuck between our world and the afterlife. Like somthing wasnt exactly right and they didnt make it to wherever they were supposed to go. I have seen some things in my house that makes me wonder. Nothing like doors slamming or seeing people. But ever now and then I will look up and see what I can best describe as smoke floating through the house. And it just disappears. No one here smokes and we dont burn candles or anything like that. So I really dont know what it is?

Need a custom barrel for my HK USP "Elite" .45
Jasongar8 replied to a topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
You should be looking for a gunsmith or business that specializes in barrel making. You might try Tornado Technologies, they do alot of threading and barrel work. It's probably going to cost so much to make a custom barrel you could buy a whole new gun, like a USP-T that is already threaded. -
Review: Condor EMT Rip Away Pouch...
Jasongar8 replied to creeky's topic in Survival and Preparedness
I have quite a bit on Condor stuff. 3 backpacks, 4-5 gun bags, and a medic bag and have had nothing but good luck with all of it. It's cheap and it works. So two thumbs up from me. Good review by the way. -
How was the Opus X?

He has sold a hell of a lot of guns.

Welcome to TGO. Glad to have you.

Happy Easter everyone. Remember what Easter is really about. Giving thanks to Him for dying so our souls could be saved. God bless everyone.

I would build my own. You can build it for way under $1500 and put exactly what you want on it the first time. As far as the suppressor you CAN shoot them on barrels under 10", BUT I wouldnt. It will shorten the life of your suppressor. It will be louder and it will have more muzzle blast. From what I have heard the 11.25" barrels are the best length on DI guns with a suppressor. And the length dosent really matter on piston guns as far as function.

FWIW, I have heard that there is a very high turnover rate with the Dept. of Corrections and any prison or jail for that matter.

Wine cooler fan huh?

They have a nice shop. It's not what I would call small though. When I was there they had 15-20 Springfield M1A's. Which I had never seen so many in a shop before. Good stop if you are in the area.

If you dont get there early, like 6am early, you are going to be humping a pretty good way. They have shuttles that run from the lower lot to the range if you need them. As far as the hotel we stay at the Jameson Inn Louisville South. It is right off I-65 close to the airport. There is a Outback Steakhouse next to it so you can walk to dinner if you want. Very nice rooms and a very helpful staff. And it's only like 20 min from the range. You might want to go ahead an call to check on rooms because they sell out on Knob Creek weekend. Jameson Inn

OOOOH I hate these idiots, I would provide the ammo!
Jasongar8 replied to chipperi's topic in General Chat
Scum of the earth. Period. I honestly dont know how the families hold it together. If I was in their place I dont think I couldnt control myself and I would do somthing stupid. Damn those protesters make me sick. -
Yea its worth the trip just for the gun show. Seeing the shoot is just a bonus. I have been going since 2002 twice a year. The gun show is the best around if you like NFA stuff or black rifles. If it is in the NFA world, there will be one up there. There is also alot of military/tactical equipment for sale too. Also, there is usually a UH-1 Huey and/or a OH-6 Cayuse flying around giving rides. If you go expect it to rain. It seems like it is always a mud fest for the Spring shoot and dusty as hell during the Fall shoot. Bring two pairs of shoes/boots for this reason. But the best advice I can give you is bring as much money as you can afford, cause you will find plenty of things to spend it on. As far as deals go, they are up there. It just depends on what you are looking for and be willing to hunt to find them. There is alot of people selling bulk ammo so you can usually find a deal on it. But be prepaired to carry it all the way back to the car which can be a pretty good haul if you park in the lower parking lot. I'm not sure about the TN FFL, I cant remember if there is one or not. There is going to be 10 in my crew for this shoot. We go up on Thursday and stay until late Saturday night. We bring a grill and "tailgate" out in the parking lot all weekend. So if any TGO members go, you and your crew are more than welcome to come by and grab a burger with us. We always cook plenty of food. Hope to see some of you guys there. Yea my Dad, and my brother, and I built our 1919's. All you need is a parts kit, a side plate, a semi-auto trigger and sear, and your interal parts machined to work with the semi-auto sideplate. A good source of information about builds is www.1919a4.com. If you are thinking about doing a build and ever make it to middle TN we will be glad to help you build it.If you have any other questions just let me know. Here are some pictures that TGO David took of one of mine that I brought to a TGO shoot. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/22064-june-2009-middle-tn-meet-shoot-sunday-june-14th-5.html#post299480

I would much rather have a 1919a4. We built all of ours for well under $800 each. You could buy 2 1919's and a Yugo M53 (semi MG42) for what you would pay for the SG43. It's a cool piece, but over priced IMO.

Thats a fine looking rifle. LaRue makes top of the line stuff. Have you thought about putting a suppressor on it?

Wife needs to see this if she hates guns

It def. gave me goose bumps. -
Today I went to the gun show in M'boro with two of my best buds. Found what I was looking for and they both sold the guns they had. Came home and watched UT get beat. Then went to and helped my Dad unload a new winch he got for his M35a2. Then had dinner with my Grandparents.

I went this morning and picked up some Knight rail covers. This show is alot better than the ones at the Fairgrounds.
