  1. i am amazed at the amount of pitting from sweat on the uncoated metal. just goes to show why they put the coating on in the first place, i guess. at least they did it for free, but I agree they should have given you a new frame for free.

considering a plain P226 goes for $850 without night sights. Id say its par for the course. I saw one in Knoxville gun shop for $1048, i think.
  3. Yeah I've been hypothermic as well. Shivering uncontrollably, shirt of breath, light headed, nauseous. very unpleasant, but pain is merely a function of reality or memory. If your dead it's irrelevant. Sent from my Mom's basement
  4. It's still worth a good chunck of change. Arguably still worth $750, especially with upgraded parts. But that's just my opinion. Sent from my Mom's basement

What makes this different from any other 226? Nevermind found this CheaperThanDirt Forum : SIG SAUER Makes New MK25 Pistol Available to the Public - View Post I saw one in coal creek yesterday and didn't realize it was the same gun. Just listed as Navy special on tag, for $1050 or so.
  7. What are the optics? I'm not good enough to tell from a distance. Sent from my Mom's basement
  8. Thanks for the replies. Mike the review look good for the Imapact Sports. I may spend my bass pro money on something esle and look at getting those.
  9. So I had to return a Christmas gift from the in-laws and ended up with about $130 Bass Pro gift card. so in my search for what to buy I have considered electronic ear muffs. There are such a wide range of opinions on these its hard to narrow down. Im limited to the onese carried by Bass Pro either online or in-store. In-Store options Walker Walker Quad Primos Boost Analog (New) - look good but not many review out yet On-line options Hearing & Eye Protection - Hunting & Shooting | Bass Pro Shops or are they a waste of money all around. if so I may buy some binoculars Thanks for any help
  10. Amazon has a kit of 4oz liquid and 4oz past for $28 Brownells has kilt of 8oz paste and 4oz liquid for $32 Or Seperately for $17 & $14 respectively Sent from my Mom's basement
  11. Ditto for me. I use hoppes oil where grease isn't needed Sent from my Mom's basement
  12. I think he may have died of hypothermia. I heard there was no indication of suicide. I think he was trying to flee ill prepared. Correct me if I'm wrong. Sent from my Mom's basement
  13. Pfries, I'm definitely driving in from Johnson City. So if you do end up going and wanna ride with, just holler at me. Sent from my Mom's basement
  14. Yeah it's just like the 'wildcat' fad a few years ago. It worked early but by the second facing, most teams had figured it out. The only teams Denver will beat are the ones that can't physically stop their run game. Sent from my Mom's basement
  15. Pretty much. The dust cover just helps keep grit out prior to firing, and the forward assist is for when it's so dirty the bolt won't close all the way. In a pinch you can force it closed. At this point if its that dirty its probably not gonna cycle anymore anyhow. So, no they are not a necessity. And the S&W sport is a good rifle, cones with sights already, ready to shoot. 16. Mythbuster! I buy all my ammo at Walmart Sent from my Mom's basement
  17. I'd look around if you are impatient and stuck on the forward assist and dust cover. I see DPMS complete carbine ARs for $749 here on the east side. PS Joebobs is sold out of the RRA Midlength, but you can make a backorder, but that doesn't lend to you being impatient. Sent from my Mom's basement
  18. This is true, and my phone doesn't update with you manually doing it. This is truly puzzling how so much data was used in such a short period of time. Luckily I was grandfathered into an unlimited plan with Verizon. since 11/24 I have used 1 gig. Thank god I have unlimited Sent from my Mom's basement
  19. Alex Jones is far from the "voice of truth". Sure he speaks some truths about government, and laws, but he also thinks our drinking water is being poisoned. I can't listen long enough to sort out the BS from the truth. Sent from my Mom's basement
  20. The problem I have with the whole discussion is I can't listen to Alex Jones long enough to get the gist of the story. Every time I turn on his radio show I have a hard time not driving off a cliff. There has to be a better proponent of liberty and source of information than him Sent from my Mom's basement
  21. Straight from the horses mouth So I guess the answer is, whichever you choose
  22. I use a standard Galco OWB. It works really well, and must gun stores carry them. I have used customary leather too. I had a DM Bullard Bodygaurd, that I like a lot!! I sold the gun and holster went with it. I'm seriously considering buying another for my current EDC. http://www.dmbullardleather.com/1429711.html
  23. Did you close out the "tree stand finder" from the bottom window. If not it could have been running while out on the woods. Usually will have an arrow shape near battery indicator if something is running that used satellite locators. Did you see a purple arrow like this next to 58%?
  24. Saw these being peddled at the gun show in Knoxville yesterday. Looked much stouter than I had imagined. They had it mounted behind an Eotech in a tall mount. Looked good and functioned easily.
