  1. Agreed, but I would go Savage 110 in .338 Lapua, then buy a scope later.
  2. I think so. Earp, I tried to give you the benift of doubt, but you keep opening you mouth and digging your own hole. Best let it lie. I'm begining to question the whole "roommate" issues now.
  3. Just got an LCP for Christmas ( good wife) and that will be my shorts and tshirt gun. I carry a full size 1911 but that is hard I conceal in a t-shirt, as I don't like baggy t-shirts. Most times in the summer I wear a short sleeve button up shirt than covers the 45 well.
  4. I enjoy 60 degrees in January. Just doing my part
  5. Too late Haha, I set the barrel on fire and walked away, as to not breath the smoke. But I have no intentions to store food or water in that barrel, just get rid of the oil. Plus I was in the boonies, no where near a residence.
  6. Haha, I heard that!
  7. Yeah I was thinking it would cost $50-75 for just one new barrel, buy maybe not.
  8. Mav, You mention plastic, is it different for steel? What about burning the fluid and then clean the carbon? I'm no chemist obviously, just curious.
  9. I was wondering what their prices were like. Thanks for sharing
  10. There was a show on Spike or some similar channel about apocalypse preparing family. The built a truck that ran on wood fire, made their own black powder and cast bullets. It was kind of boring and anticlimactic, even with production hype. Hopefully this show will be more entertaining
  11. You're correct about reasonable doubt. But I also know that, lack of evidence, doesn't mean they didn't act unprofessionally. Actually since no one was hurt, I'm glad no one was prosecuted. I just hope those two officers were justified in their actions, and of not, they have learned a valuable lesson. Otherwise this may not be the last time we see their names in the paper.
  12. ...And should last forever
  13. If it were me I would just buy an unused food grade barrel. I just bought a used oil drum and I cut the head off and burnt the oil out. I can't imagine how you would sufficiently clean one with the head still on.
  14. That's assuming the DA acted on credible, or lack of credible, evidence. I don't have a tinfoil hat, but I might borrow one for this case.
  15. Most likely. If I had to bet money I'd say all parties involved acted irresponsibly.
  16. Raise your hand of you're surprised by this .....
  17. I agree It's one of two things. The machine malfunctioned or is programmed to randomly beep.
  18. You can't poke out your minds eye
  19. Grace is easy for me to extend over the Internet. In person is a much different case. I can overlook dispute and faults when we are discussing guns an such that interest me. Even if another member has wronged me or argued I tend to forgive. Now I have never been wronged like you eluded in your previous post. That may be unforgivable. Sent from my Mom's basement
  20. look at the last episode. They needed a weapon that would function under extreme conditions in the desert similar to an AK. So they built a piston AR. But the production makes it seem like they are building some top secret new invention. ITS JUST A PISTON DRIVEN AR. there i feel better, I still watch it The only think i wonder is how Will and the boys feel about the show (money aside) and when around other gun manufactures.
  21. I've heard similar reports. I also have no knowledge of its validity thought
  22. come on man, that's not necessary. there is a thread for that discussion
  23. Everyone is questioning the gun position during the mag slap and slide rack, as of genius doing something wrong. I have seen many others teach the same technique. Bring the firearm into your field of view. This allows you to keep peripheral vision down range and on your target. This goes for all weapon manipulation including mag reloads I'm no expert but all seems legitimate to me. This is a forum for sharing information. Seems that's all the op is doing. If you dont like it, offer a constructive reason, other than finger position in pic 4. Which btw, as long as its not on the bang switch, looks fine to me. Sent from my Mom's basement
