  1. Not me. Their intent matters to me more than anything. If they're stupid enough to post, they will probably just squander my money on something equally as stupid. I just try to spend my money elsewhere.
  2. That was a good description of the difference in the public and private sectors in general. Looks like the union part is pretty much the same for both. Even without unions, the politicians are taking our money and spending it the way they choose, and it always includes paying back their supporters. There will be a lot of waste so they can benefit personally.
  3. Mine doesn't bother me either. The girlfriend doesn't like it. We both hit ok with it.
  4. You could spin anything like that. I just don't know any teachers that are living lavish lifestyles. Just more shell game for us dumbass taxpayers.
  5. Reagan was a liberal, then a conservative, then ran up a bigass deficit and left. I didn't dislike the guy, but I don't view him as a God. Sorta like my first real girlfriend. Fond memories, but when I really think about it, she was kind of a bitch.
  6. I have a Glock, but it makes a big bulge in my pocket . The grip sticks out too. All my defense caliber pistols are extremely reliable, and that includes the LCP. I don't see the point in shooting thousands of rounds of .380. I have other guns for that.
  7. You probably can't even feel the recoil after shooting all those fire breathin' hoglegs you've been shooting lately
  8. Why would I spend $1000 to shoot a little popcorn fart round like a .380? The LCP is fine for that caliber. It's reliable, and I'll never wear it out. There are brands of pistols I won't buy, and price is seldom a driving force when I buy a pistol. I'm not H&K snobby , but the LCP shares the safe with at least LEO grade pistols.
  9. As I said earlier. I love the Gen 4 grip, and could never get excited about the previous generations. Fact is, Smith and Wesson is giving them some real head on competition these days with the M&P line. That one little feature could sell a whole lot of guns.
  10. The mag wiggle is normal. I never noticed because mine stays loaded. To say the pistol isn't sound though is total hogwash. It's not a Sig, but has proven to be a very reliable pistol. Ruger has sold a gazillion of them, and you just don't hear complaints. Mine has never missed a beat. FWIW, I'm a little on the snobby side as pistol owners go.
  11. I think I played with the same gun yesterday, and I'm in love. Gotta shoot one soon.
  12. I agree... keeper.
  13. Purdy plastic. Yep, the D&T guys are great.
  14. It's on my list for the AR
  15. I think it's safe to follow the military's logic. If you have to be in defensive mode everywhere you go (inside and out), you just can't beat an M4 style carbine. I would certainly have a pistol with me too, but I wouldn't depend on it as the ultimate defense weapon. One guy with a 30/30 can eat your lunch.
  16. There are better materials than aluminum
  17. The bomb is easier to build than the delivery vehicle. As I understand it, they have decent bomb capabilities, and are weak in long range missles. here's a good EMP map...
  18. If society breaks down, I will rely on a long gun, most likely an AR. A pistol is good for sneaking around with a gun in society. It will do you little or no good against 3 bubbas with deer rifles.

    M&P 9

Ah... new sear. The original Apex sear is great. Guess I'll upgrade when they get it done.
  20. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the whole thing. If I really had to bug out with what I could carry, it would probably be my AR carbine and my M&P 9. I would at least grab enough stuff to make up a basic field cleaning kit, and a spare bolt for the AR. If it's bad enough to run from my house, it could very well include a short life expectancy. In the event of a full blown nuclear war, I would be more inclined to run toward ground zero, not away from it.
  21. This HAS been posted on TGO... several months ago. It's still a good one.
  22. hard to see the ball through all that smoke.
  23. My first experience was the P22, then the M&P.
  24. Texas...Tennessee, it's almost the same thing. Welcome.
