I just like that you can take the whole thing apart with a tooth pick. Every autoloading rifle would probably have as many points if you could get to them. EDIT: that's why I don't mind so much that it craps where it eats. I can clean and lube the bolt carrier group in about 10 minutes on the bench.

I'm still wondering. There are a bunch of lube points, but you don't have to stand on your head to get to them. I think it's the easiest rifle I have to maintain.

Not extreme enough to use shotguns to sell pistol ammo. That's a badass looking bullet. I would like to play with a few of them.

I bought a bunch of Ruger factory mags as well. You will hear varying reports on all the aftermarket mags, and consistent reports on the Rugers.

I personally agree that the AR is superior. But the question was if the Mini is capable of making through a course. A late generation Mini with good ammo and good RUGER mags runs fine. I don't know if it will do a whole carbine course without problems. Not my choice, but that wasn't the question.
