I suppose I would feel better about it if I actually fondled it. I'm not a big fan of manual safeties on handguns to begin with. With that said, I'm sure I would like the gun. I'm pretty big on quality.

Factory mags work. The others are a crap shoot. I have a bunch of crappy 30 round plastic mags that came with mine, but I only use the Ruger mags. The factory mags are expensive, and were hard to get for awhile.

Did you really believe that open carry was an option? There are tons of examples out there of badly written signs that really just meant "No Guns". Didn't you at least try think, "Why would they just ban concealed guns? What were they thinking?". When it came down to it, the badly written sign didn't make any difference.

You find a place that obviously didn't want any guns, so you strap one on just to start something. All I stated was that the outcome was predictable. Now, you say your rights were voilated, and that you have supporters. Please let us whimpy gun owners know when it gets resolved in your favor. I will be the FIRST one to admit that I was wrong. I've made some high quality smoke by dumping high voltage into a circuit that was checked with an ohm meter. This just hit me, and is a good test. Take the romex and strip a few inches the jacket back on one end. Tape each wire so they can't short. Put a cheap grounded plug on the other end (black>gold white>silver bare>ground). Plug it into a ground fault protected circuit, like in the bathroom. If it doesn't trip, the wire is good, and it's a valid high voltage test. You can do the same with a regular circuit, but it will probably damage the outlet if there's a short.

Water won't hurt the insulation, but it will soak into the paper filler. It would most likely have to get in thru the ends unless there's a nick in the jacket. The proper way to test it is with an insulation tester (megger). An ohm meter doesn't have enough voltage. It's most likely ok.

The LCP is almost a straight knock-off of the Keltec. The Ruger is finished better, but internally, they're almost an identical design. Any vote for the Ruger funtionalty is also a vote for the Keltec.

Don't most other militaries already allow gays? Sure, there's the male homo stereotype, but I know several that don't fit into that. That's the bad thing about stereotypes. Other militaries are going to view us based on our effectiveness at the business of war. They are not letting gays into the military all of a sudden. They have always been there. A patriot is a patriot.

How long ago? Things have really changed in the last 20 years. I think the military will still maintain order. We don't need to forget that they surveyed the troops on this issue. Seems that all the objections were outside the military

I love the looks of the Sig, but just can't wrap my head around cocked and locked pocket carry. I've seen too many loyal Sig owners to think it's a problem, but it makes me feel a little funny. Got no problem carrying a holstered 1911 that way.
