  1. Have it your way. Case law or not, the law is pretty clear. I'm not going to risk my permit, especially when there are other places to go.

Not gonna get it fixed without the bounced email.
  3. That was my point. A web site alone won't get you very far. These folks are working at it. It will take some work to stop them
  4. I filled out the form and sent it to them. Hopefully, I won't have to dog cuss them before it's over.
  5. How do you handle the paperwork on a bunch of lowers?
  6. May still be propogating.
  7. Yep. I'm thinking the Comcast mail block last week is related. Looks like TGO (or the hosting service) made it on one of the big lists.
  8. If you go with Bronker's thinking about the most common platform, you know the answer to what the "something" will be.
  9. I signed up on the site early on, but THIS is the most effective way to deal with it. One more web site is... one more web site. These anti's are going to get results because they are contacting people directly. The flaw in their plan is that they're listing places without their permission. Those places have lawyers, and some will use them. If we REALLY want to fight them, we need follow Hex's example.
  10. Smith and Glock won equal contracts
  11. Dang. I wonder what was up with that? A lot of LEO's, including FBI guys carried the 59 back in the day. Like I said, my black one has been flawless since I pulled it out of the box. I read that it might butt shoot you if you drop it, but never heard them called a POS.
  12. That's definately a lemon. Bought my black 59 in the late '70's, and it hasn't jammed yet, that I can recall. Still runs like a top.
  13. But, being an old fart (like me) doesn't automatically invalidate the opinions of everyone that's younger than me, especially here. I figure if someone is old enough to do a tour in the sandbox, they're old enough to be able to express their opinions. Can we PLEASE debate the points, and leave age out of it?

  17. It's not as rosey as it sounds. You have to have a ridiculous amount of insurance to work on most of the big towers. Most of the time, it's a poor workin' stiff that makes the climb. Riggers are well paid, but they ain't getting rich.
  18. What I expected... pulled it because of lax safety... TheOLEBLOG - TheOnLineEngineer.Org – We know broadcasting!
  19. Did you get to thump anybody on the noggin with your stick?
  20. No reason to be bald this day in time. You can get one of those Prince Popacock wigs for 50 bucks off the interwebz.
  21. Yep, that's true.
  22. Rock climbing would scare the crap out of me. I just focus on the tower, and don't look down until I'm there and belted in. Most accidents actually happen when guys get too comfortable. Had a buddy knocked off a headache ball at 400 feet years ago. He would have been able to hang on if he would have been belted in. OSHA is real picky about how those guys work, but good luck getting them to do it.
  23. Well, the video is shut off. I've done some climbing over the years. The main thing to keep in mind... anything over 50 feet won't kill you any deader. Unless you're just afraid of heights, you get used to it pretty quickly. For me, the scariest thing (the first time) was when I leaned back into my belt, and let go of the tower. I was never a rigger, and have only been up about 350 feet. Even that looks like a mile.
  24. What's up with the troll invasion lately?
  25. Wow is right.
