  1. A refinishing service takes a some space. I can see why a lot of gun shop smiths don't provide the service.
  2. Check with GunTroll. He's a TGO supporting vendor. Middle Tennessee Gunsmithing
  3. I have a full size M&P9. I love it.
  4. Thanks. It's a good shooter too when the barrel's not full of copper. Probably won't be able to resist a Daniel Defense free float rail package at some point. Maybe a good compensator as well. Other than that, I think I'm done with this one.
  5. There are gnarly places everywhere in the state. Memphis probably has more than their share, but there are parts of Nashville that are real scary. Jackson too.
  6. I tweaked it some. Added ... UTG rail package Magpul rail covers (the UTG covers kinda suck) Magpul MBUS Primary Arms M4 clone The Bushnell optic is great, but doesn't leave enough room on the rail for a backup sight. I'm also tickled with the PA optic. Haven't sighted it in yet.
  7. I'm a newbie. I use a quarter for all my other sights EDIT: OK, got it. The FMJ should work fine. I would still like to have the tool, but can make do the other way.
  8. Yep, 'cause you never know when digging a BUG outa your sock will be quicker than tap/rack/bang
  9. Anybody know where I can pick up an A2 front sight adjustment tool in the Nashville area? Somebody that would have them in stock? Need to tweak the iron sights on my AR tomorrow, and don't want to use a hammer and vise grips
  10. Honestly, it's something I put off until Obama showed up. It went from my list of things to do (was on there for years) to gotta do it now.
  11. Nope... got at least 3 more topics to cover
  12. I don't carry all the time, especially in the summer months. I always have a loaded weapon or two (or five) within reach when I'm at home. I always carry when I feel that there's an elevated risk of needing it. Frankly, I've done that for 30 years. Unfortunately, with the current laws, there are just too many exceptions in my world to make sure I have a gun strapped on every minute of the day. I carry when I can, but I'm not gonna lose my job over it. I'm also not going to lose my permit because I've had a beer or two. When I really need one, I have it, except in Illinois.
  13. Welcome to TGO
  14. I've been moving away from South Americans. Tired of them whippin' the crap out of each other. The Vortex Viper line of scopes is good and reasonably priced. Froggyone posted a couple of model numbers in another thread. EDIT: Froggy sez... http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/vortex.pl?page=vortexviper6-20x44
  15. I really hope Team Bedwetter is reading this thread now!
  16. Southside is a GREAT place. It's a pretty good hump from Nashville, but worth it.
  17. A little message to the bedwetters (those skeered of guns)... :x:
  18. There are currently 131 users online. 53 members and 75 guests and 3 bedwetters
  19. I saw THAT coming
  20. I think that if you can come up with a cigar box full of Westmoreland cock roaches, I'll buy you dinner at the Sunset Grill. Make sure you tape it up. Don't want any getting loose.
  21. Had a bunch of sushi last night. The girlfriend had something from a cow, but I did manage to shove a couple of pieces of sushi in her mouth too. Tonight... we're both having something from a cow.
  22. I think he may have meant professional video guys. The lawyers in the old tape were ok in terms of content, but they kinda sucked on tape.
  23. Maybe they KNOW the video sucks, and are relying on you guys to give more of the real scoop.
  24. One other thing about irrigation. In Nashville, the water bill is broken into water and sewer. The sewer charge is as big as the water charge, and it based on the water meter. They will knock off a portion of your sewer bill if you're watering your lawn.
