I wasn't going 6 but I did go slower than normal as I think we should. Other people were going way too fast. I even had a guy tailgating me. My Tundra is capable but I'm not looking to crash.

We just made a Kroger run. I have never seen the roads this bad in Knoxville. With temperatures at zero tonight I expect the roads to be covered in ice by tomorrow.

I measured 9-10" in my yard earlier. I'll remember this snow storm for a long time. I'm used to always being disappointed and for once they underestimated how much snow we got. The forecast the rest of the week looks rough. It will be a test for TVA to see if their grid improvements prevent more rolling blackouts.

Heat pumps are really inadequate sometimes. And we haven't even gotten to the worst of the cold yet. Not sure about middle TN but tomorrow night it's going to be down close to zero.

6-7" here depending on where I measure. This is way more than I expected.

This was a weird storm system. The middle valley got more than the Southern valley and mountains. It's usually the opposite. We have a solid 5" here and still coming down.

The roads are completely covered in West Knoxville. I watched a guy pull a minivan up a hill. The woman never bothered to release her brakes so he had to drag her.

Woke up to a dusting in West Knoxville. Maybe 1.5" inch but now it's coming down pretty hard. Supposed to snow through the afternoon.

It will feel just fine. I enjoy seeing different teams play and I'm glad Alabama lost. Not sure who I'll pull for but I hope it's a good game.

It took a lot of courage to share that band with this crowd. I enjoyed it. I also listen to music that I guarantee no one else here listens too.

I was only 21 when I joined here. Been a long time.

I hope that's the gift because that place is on our bucket list too. We actually had tickets to a concert there in 2020 but it was cancelled due to COVID.

Do they have Calhoun's in middle TN? I try to avoid going there at all costs. The owner does not have a great reputation and the food hasn't improved since the 90's.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I told my wife that next year we've got to limit gifts to a few people. It's gotten out of hand. If it's creating anxiety then we've lost the point of Christmas.

Am I the only one that gets more anxiety than joy this time of year? Every year we spend ridiculous amounts of money buying presents for other people. This year we're even buying presents for my wife's family that hasn't come to see us since 2015. My wife drives to see them in Ohio 1-2 times/year. Christmas is supposed to be about spending time with people and instead has turned into a spending binge. Something tells me Jesus would not have cared for rampant consumerism. Someone help me be less of a Grinch.

Another must watch show is the new Netflix series, WWII-From the Frontlines. It's one of the better shows I've seen in a long time and I've learned a lot. I'm on episode 5 tonight.

That doesn't bother me though. Bowl games don't mean much and it's not worth the risk of injury right as you're trying to go pro.
