I'm just glad they are making a good portion of the Glocks right here in the U.S. I'd like to get my hands on one.   I hope that whoever ends up with Glock has the guys to attempt a carbine that uses Glock magazines. That would be awesome. 

  I missed Fort Hood. My fault.    So, 2 successful attacks in the US since 9/11. It's not like we're seeing one here every month. That's why I'm saying it may be a few years until there is another one. 

Until Boston it had been over a decade since there was a successful attack. I have no doubt there will be another one in my lifetime but I doubt it will be anytime soon.

That's a beautiful place you picked there. Your criteria is exactly what I want someday but it will be some time before I can afford it.   It looks like you have enough land to be able to set up your own pistol range which would be awesome.    I also agree that a security system is a must.   We're in the process of finding a house but the market in Florida is crazy right now. We just had to offer $12K more than asking price on a house we like. We should find out today if we got it.

  Robert,   I have the money to go buy $20 pmags but that doesn't mean I want to pay twice as much for them. Just because I can doesn't make it a good decision. Again, if you continue to buy at these prices this will be the new "norm". Unless you have a reason for needed more right this second why not wait until the madness stops and purchase twice as many for the same price.   I guess if you like wasting money... :shrug:

  Well, you are wrong. Sorry.   At the top of this thread you can see Midway was selling them for $12. Both AIM Surplus and Primary Arms sell them for $10-12 when they can stock them.   It sounds like you've been overpaying for several years. Like I mentioned earlier, primary arms was selling pmags for $10 WITH FREE SHIPPING just weeks before Sandy Hook.

  Good point. Situational awareness is a must but sometimes it happens so fast you can't prevent it or prepare. I'll have to go back and watch it to confirm if the guy was paying attention or not.

 That is a terrible price.   Guys, you seem to forget pmags were $10-12 just a few months ago. Two weeks before Newtown I ordered pmags for $10 with free shipping.   If you continue to buy these at inflated prices they will never go down. Unless you need these magazines TODAY please be patient.

  I'm not going to risk leaving my AR in my vehicle to be stolen. I have a fantastic hiding spot for my Glock which I doubt anyone would find and I bring it inside with me when I get home from work.

Give it time guys, if we continue to buy at these prices they will never go down.

I don't know enough about economics to predict what will happen. What I do know is that running a 17 trillion dollar debt is not sustainable.    What I can't understand is why the stock market is at an all time high. Everyone keeps saying the collapse is coming soon and I'm not disagreeing but one would think it would have happened back in 08-09 when things were much worse.
