  2. Do yourself a favor and look up Comin' Home by Murder by Death. Great tune and if it doesn't get you fired up you may well be dead.
  3. I live in Chattanooga. Have all my life. I still don't understand what was happening here.
  4. Here's the deal. I have 2 stripped lowers and $1200. I can't seem to make my mind up on how I would like to build these next two. I don't really care for the 5.56 in a pistol and I also don't care to build one that has the capacity to put multiple rounds through the same hole at 400 yards. I kinda like mine to be functional shooters that can take a beating. I built my first one out last month with all PSA parts and now I have the bug. I'm really looking for ideas on different directions here. Any good ideas that y'all have will be truly appreciated. I'm not in a rush, just wanna get a little more exposure to interesting options before I pick a direction on these guys. Thanks
  5. +1 on PSA. Great price on a great product. One of the best values out right now.
  6. +1 For Palmetto State. If you want to reduce the effecive cost of the transfer fee do what I did and order multiple. That way you spread the cost out over several receivers. And you have options for more builds once the first is completed. It also makes for a surprsingly effective arguement if your wife has her MBA.
  7. I will be interested to see how you like it. I have read a ton of great things about PSA these days.
  8. If you were going to build an AR that was strictly going to be a grab and bug out rifle what features and components would be on it and why.
  9. If you are in a fight against three guys there is no martial art that can help you. If your plan is to stand up and swing with three guys you need a better plan. All it takes is for one guy to be bigger than you and you will have your hands full standing up. Furthermore, one punch knockouts are extremely rare in a fight. It is much more likely that you will break your hand on some thugs head. Then how do you plan on defending your wife or daughter? Using jiu jitsu to control the range, clinch, and take the fight to the ground is the most effective strategy for quickly and safely ending a street fight. Assuming of course that running away is not an option. By taking the fight to the ground you can effectively use technique and leverage to mitigate any size advantage your attacker may have. I do not have much free time between work, family, and life. I decided that the best course of action for me was to pick one self defense art that has a proven track record of effectiveness and dedicate as much time as I can spare towards learning that art. It never made sense to me to scatter my limited training time learing a variety of disciplines that I may or may not learn well.
  10. Jiu Jitsu is the most practical and applicable form of self defense there is. Nothing else even comes close. If self defense is your primary aim then do yourself a favor and get into a good jiu jitsu school now. It is the only self defense art that you can practice day in and day out with out killing yourself, thus developing the muscle memory that will be there in a real confrontation when the adrenaline kicks in. In a fight you will default to how you train. Period. If you are around the Chattanooga area at all contact me and I will send the details of where I train. The owner is a great guy and will let anyone try 10 classes for free to see if what we do will work for them.
  11. I like what he said really. The problem is that his officers don't patrol the areas with gang problems for the most part. And now if one of his officers does have an armed confrontation with a gang member I hate to think about the lawsuits that would ensue after a statement like this.
  12. If you shoot there more than once you are certain to come back with a crazy story. I'm sad to hear about this, but I'm not surprised either.
  13. I had one awhile back. Loved it. Never had a single problem out of it. Like an idiot I sold it last year when I got tight on money. They are great guns though.
  14. I would love to join up. But I was forced into selling my .81 Renegade 2 years ago and seeing other people with them still hurts my heart. I really miss my CJ!
  15. Go to indeed.com. Pretty good site for job hunting.
  16. I meant to tell you Pitt... I've been looking around at some property your way! Can't wait to see you again...neighbor!!!!!!!!
  17. That is only about a mile from where I live now. If that. The thing is that's a tough mile. The other side of 24 has some real hit or miss areas over there. I would look around a little more.
  18. It'll be just close enough in the first half to give the vol fans some hope. By the second half the older, stronger, and better all around athletes of LSU will wear down the vols and it will start to get ugly.
  19. This actually is not true. Notre Dame stands to make more by joining the Big 10 or Whatever it is conference off their TV deal. Notre Dame does not want to lose its national presence by joining a conference. They can go to any state and recruit well. The TV deal with NBC at best helps them maintain this national presence but it certainly isn't the sweetheart most people believe it is.
  20. South Carolina only beat Navy 24-21. It wasn't too long ago that Ohio St needed a last second int on Navy's 2-point conversion to pull out the win over Navy. Oh and Air Force just beat Navy. I also recall Bama losing to La-Monroe while Saban was installing his system. Facts are weird huh?
  21. Oregon has hundreds of combinations of different uniforms. Never really understood that myself.
  22. I understand that. Lucky for you it's a Catholic church so just say you're sorry for everything before you go in; snap a couple of good photos and be on your way. It's always worked for me!
