  1. I'm just sick of our gov't propping up initiatives like GW research et al. with money we don't have, just so lifelong congressmen can gain political favor, power, and money.
  2. Besides ammo, holster, mag pouch, etc., I'd definitely water and a hand towel (wipe sweat/shooting glasses etc). Oh, and more ammo! I hope you make it out, you'll have a great time, guaranteed!
  3. Was it a 1911?
  4. I'm SO ready to kill me some Zombies!
  5. Got kids? If not wait til you have dreams about all the ways you might screw that up. At least with most SD dreams, it's usually something out of your control or uncommon. To me it shows dedication and desire to do well/right. We all keep practicing, so we're as prepared as we can be. So it's only natural to worry about the things we can't control, even though everyone says not to do it. Too funny, Hipster! It would go bang AND it will hit what you aim at AND if you buy ammo with the money you save, it'll make you a better shooter
  6. Nobody mentioned the best Zombie movie of all time...FIDO! "Timmy's best friend in the whole wide world is a six-foot tall rotting zombie named Fido. But when FIDO eats the next-door neighbor, Mom and Dad hit the roof, and Timmy has to go to the ends of the earth to keep Fido a part of the family. A boy-and-his-dog movie for grown ups, "FIDO" will rip your heart out." --IMDB
  7. I think I found what you are looking for. LPA makes a dovetail adjustable rear sight to fit Glocks and others. When ordering you specify "Code 18" for white U-line sights. The item # is TPU32GL and here's the link: http://www.lpasights.com/catalog.html Hope that helps...good luck
  8. Laserlyte is the only other mfg besides Glock I know of that uses the "U-shaped" bracket on the rear sight. If it helps, I have a set of Glock adjustable rear sights. BTW...I sent you a PM.
  9. I'll lay down beside her and mourn when my ol' gal passes and I expect nothing less from her. That's what true best friends do.
  10. Maybe this summer is busier than usual for them? I don't care, better late than never. We have to remedy that next year. Hopefully more help will be available.
  11. I'm still a dyed-in-the-wool CZ guy, but this Glock is lighter and thinner. I may experiment with carrying it, who knows. It depends on whether I can grow to like this trigger enough. Having gotten used to the CZ triggers, which are IMO the best, this one feels weird. It feels like bending a plastic spoon...I keep anticipating the trigger break as I feel the pressure building, but it doesn't break very cleanly. It just kind of snaps then feels dead.
  12. The movie "Red Dawn" always comes to mind when this topic comes up. Only in my version it's a bunch of us good ol' boys hollering "from my cold dead fingers" as we single handedly repell the invasion before the military can even get mobilized. Of course in the aftermath, the fine folks at Sam Adams and Yuengling are so grateful they become a non-profit and give us all the beer we want for life. Yep, that's the way it should go down alright.
  13. I know people too stupid to raise kids, but we don't stop them from breeding. Is that even a protected right in the Constitution? I have power saws, a nail gun, and a few hammers in my garage. I've never received formal training with them and compared to many, I might seem less than proficient. Should I be denied the privilege of buying tools? I know they aren't as dangerous as a gun, but I still might hurt myself or someone else with them out of stupidity. In principle, I don't want idiots handling guns around me either, but I still don't advocate disarming them. I feel denying them the best possible means of self-defense merely because they lack proficiency is just wrong. I also don't think more laws requiring training are the answer either. At the end of the day, you gotta just accept the fact that you can't fix "stupid". I wasn't going to mention this, but where's my right to buy a fully auto M-16 or a grenade launcher gone? Our founding fathers intended us to have access to them as well. They were protecting our rights FROM THE NEWLY FORMED GOVERNEMENT (not our own stupidity). They viewed gov't as the enemy of our freedom. They envisioned us needing to overthrow the new government they were creating, if it became oppressive. How do we do that with the tools the current gov't is "allowing" us to own?
  14. You go that right! Ashley and I are going to the range Saturday to shoot it.
  15. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a WINNER!! This ^^^ EXACTLY!
  16. Yeah, I saw your comment. This happens when stuff filters to the top over at YouTube, I guess.
  17. Best feeling plastic gun I've ever held is a CZ P-07, but that's just me.
  18. I didn't even think that was the same video at first. I thought you were joking about this being a repost. He's shootin' that big ol' bad a$$ .775FU in the beginning.
  19. This thread has me feeling guilty for not shooting mine in WELL over a year. I'm taking the ol' gal out this weekend on a date to Owl Hollow. Maybe a few mags full of my reloads will know the cobwebs off.
  20. Too funny!
  21. I got a Gen4 Glock 17 w/ 3 mags (not sure if they all come with 3, never bought a new Glock).
  22. After watching, a friend found some incendiary rounds for sale on an auction site. Starting bid for 20...over $45. Sparkly bullet fun ain't cheap. Neither is keeping those drums full on that magazine, but I still want one.
  23. Nice plug, sir! Yeah, well I actually bought 3 tickets, plus TICS, plus FFL fee, plus Gen4 upgrade fee to Glock and tax on the upgrade fee. All-in-all, my free Glock actually cost me around $130. What a rip off! Seriously though Glock Shooting Sports Foundation was awesome to give Music City Tactical Shooters this gun for hosting the event, our club was awesome to let us safety officers who worked the match have a chance to win it, but most of all I was awesome for buying the lucky ticket.
  24. When Glock says 12 weeks, Glock means 12 weeks. At 4:45 today, I finally got the call from my FFL today saying the gun I sent off my paperwork and arranged my FFL transfer almost exactly 12 weeks ago was in. That was as good a reason as any to leave work 15 minutes early. Now all I need is to install some decent sights, a Ghost trigger connector, and a Vickers mag release. All are well worth it since this is a freebie. My last Glock was a 34. Wow, what a difference a good trigger connector makes.
  25. One can only try so many search parameters (incendiary, glock drum, etc) before giving up and posting.
