  1. I am extremely kind, patient, and helpful with customers. It's managers who think they don't have to treat their employees with respect who make me furious. Besides, even if I have no concern for the safety of everyone around me, I love guns far too much to ever throw one and possibly scratch it.
  2. I took far too long to close out my account after noticing the no guns sign. I just always used my debit card and always had pending transactions and could never close it. Until one day I took a delivery to the Regions off Charlotte and 46th. No tip. Between that AND the no gun crap that I should've already closed the account for anyway, I buckled down, spent nothing but my cash tips when I needed to spend money for a couple days, and moved everything to Suntrust.
  3. It seems to me from the original post, the Guns and Leather may be slightly understaffed at their Hendersonville location. I would also like to point out that I am recently unemployed, am turning in an application TODAY to an understaffed adult video store, have an interview with UPS on Monday which I suspect will go my way, and training on Wednesday with a telemarketing job if it doesn't. Plain and simple, GnL, THIS IS A LIMITED TIME OFFER. YOU NEED TO MOVE NOW BEFORE THIS IS GONE.
  4. That's goin' on facebook.
  5. Put it in several boxes, each one slightly larger then the last. Then wrap it in several layers of wrapping paper. Even if it's still roughly the same shape and they figure out what they're getting, it'll throw 'em for a loop when they open layer after layer.
  6. Got an interview with UPS tomorrow morning, and 2 hours of training on Friday doing some telemarketing (donations for charities). If I pass that I've got a job with the telemarketing people and I start that day by finishing the rest of the shift. Looking forward to being able to say I bounced back in a week.
  7. "The British don't let us train with weapons, so we train with stones."- Braveheart.
  8. Mind if ask the costs involved in the necessary equipment? (Not the brass and primers and whatnot)
  9. A forum for pets to use? I can't see that working out very well.
  10. Hmm. Short length, low weight, easy to operate, larger caliber preferred. I have to agree with these considering we're in Tennessee. You get in the woods where you won't be seen from to far away, so you don't need 1000+ yard range from your rifle. Get up in the trees, or take cover in the mountains like some of the Cherokee did. I wonder what the perfect rifle for this situation would be. It almost sounds like the perfect rifle for this would be some kind of scout rifle. Maybe a Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle.
  11. During my classes in Police Science I've learned a lot about this kind of thing and it's troubling. More often then not, an officer who "rats" out another officer for doing something like say, illegal use of force, intentionally beating people during interrogations, that kind of thing, is usually the officer who gets fired. The officer actually perpetrating the wrongdoings might not even be reassigned, and will only be fired if internal affairs gets involved and finds out about everything. Not only that, but after firing the "rat" the chief, sheriff, whoever top dog is, will get on the phone to make sure the "rat" doesn't work for any other police force in the state, but will give a glowing review whenever he recieves a phone call about the officer in the wrong, and he will simply move to another department and continue his unacceptable behavior. I am not a fan of this in the slightest, I feel that law enforcement officers by definition should be beacons of law abiding behavior. Maybe my opinion will change when I become an officer, I don't know. But it just doesn't seem right that a problem is ignored and swept under the rug while the one who exposed the problem is dealt with the severity that should have been dealt to the offending officer.
  12. Self reliance is the only solution. The majority of the population, is, by definition, of average intelligence. There will always be those of above average intelligence who see this, as opportunity to manipulate and exploit the masses. Any revolution against the system becomes the new system, and the cycle begins again. Removing yourself from the system is the only solution.
  13. Ouch. That hurts, especially losing the weapons that belonged to your grandfather. Good to see your putting it all back together.
  14. Now that I've got a good rifle for it, I can't wait to learn and start hunting deer.

    New Rifle!

The only guns I have are guns that I will not part with.

    New Rifle!

Hold off on that +1 for the truck. It's slowly leakin' oil. Probably the rear main seal. I put some stop leak through it (I got the most expensive one because it was the only one that said it specifically repairs rear main seals). I also went ahead and got an estimate in case I do need repairs. Looking at $675 if this thing don't get it's act together. In better news I've finally decided on a name for the rifle. Gurthang. It's from Tolkien's works, meaning Iron of Death. A very appropriate name for a rifle I think, or a golf club.
  17. Drove around to all the nearby places today. Got some good leads that'll hopefully turn into something when I make my rounds on Monday to do interviews/turn in applications.
  18. Yeah, scenario one I thought was funny and I thought it was nice to see a shop with a sense of humor. Scenarios two and three are just insulting.
  19. One of my first thoughts was retail and UPS. I know they need driver helpers this time of year, and I know retail anything will be needing people right now. I have a couple of back ups I can tap into if I have to. Also, Gallatin is a little far for me.
  20. My zombie soundtrack? 10 bams, and the clicks of a mag drop and a reload, and yes, I keep the playlist on repeat. In all seriousness it would be a lot of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Manowar.
  21. I usually use snagajob. It focuses on listing for hourly wage jobs. I'll be checking out Monster tonight though.
  22. Also, no, I didn't throw anything.
  23. I was so happy I had finally gotten out of Pizza Hut. I'd gotten a job at a thrift store off Charlotte, and that's lasted all of a month. I don't have too long until I graduate and start looking for a career, but it's long enough that it's gonna hurt without income. If anybody knows about anything hourly hiring, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
  24. They do carry some nasty stuff, but that's supposed to be the entire reason for cooking. Now I wanna know what they taste like.

    New Rifle!

Put 10 rounds through today, not tryin' to hit anything in particular, just wanted to shoot it. Recoil was no problem whatsoever, factory sights were great. I'll have a pic up soon with a scope on it.
