vendor shot himself in the hand. See besides the gun show rules. He broke 3 gun safe rules to shoot himself in the hand.

Close the gun show loophole...or you are supporting Al Qaeda?
vontar replied to Zulu Cowboy's topic in General Chat
I guess you will be looking for one at Chilhowee Park at the next show right? (11th-12th) I guess I need to find one too. Maybe 2. -
Should demand a discount for the delay.

Jose Guerena Shot 60 times by Swat in his Home
vontar replied to JG55's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If the police suspect the need for New for High powered SWAT like this, they could have followed him home from work as others have suggested. They could have maybe done a traffic stop and got him with out him being inside his home. Another way setup surveillance on the home and learn the patterns of those that live there. Then go in and toss the place while no one is at home. Low risk operation. There are better ways then to rush in when they suspect an armed person when they could wait a few hours, if time is not an issue. Notice I am not talking about hostage situations. -
I believe I am the only one that produced a note from mom..

I hear ya, I am not even sure what Netflix is I just heard about this and thought I would post this. Thought it would drum up some extra drama tonight if that was from the second link, note, I added that a moment later after I found The Tennessean had a bettter article.

while I personally don't like the thought of suicide and have my moral reasons against it. I can not tell someone that is dying of a painful disease no you can not end your life on your own terms. I may not want to be part of it but I would not deny them access to seek it out either. I would not load a gun and hand it to them either but I can understand some people being in in pain at the end of life. There is a point medical science can only go so far or will only go far to relieve pain.

Don't let your wife use your Netflix account In short, better watch it alone in the dark other wise you might be accused of sharing it and face jail time in TN. Sharing Netflix Password Could Make Jailhouse Rock* - Search Engine Watch (#SEW) This starting making it's way around work today. Edit, add http://www.tennessean.com/article/20110601/NEWS0201/110601029/Sharing-Netflix-password-may-soon-crime-TN a much better article. But what this bill, fails to take into account, and maybe these services have changes. In the past Netflix used to only run on like 3 devices per account. If you maxed out your 3 device list that was it until licenses expired and that took months. So if they have changed that which I think they have, then it is their OWN fault for creating a HOLE in their own security.

Before anyone asks, same for Liquor, you can buy it as well while carrying. As long as the store is not posted, you can carry. I don't put it in the truck either; I never read anything about separating my beer from my gun, at least while not drinking.

I know people that used to make moonshine. I have been told some good stories. They all quit before I was in the picture so I only know stories, but from what I hears they made some some the best shine in the area. However I don't know anyone that still makes it.

Wild Hog Hunting and Fluorescent "Blaze" Orange Requirements
vontar replied to vontar's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Thanks Hunting101 I remember reading that in the hunting guide last year now. Don't you like what I dug up. Since Wild hog is year around, and archery season over laps a year long wild hog season that means if they want to push it, I guess it means by default archers are required to wear it. I guess this is one of those things that should have been requested to be fixed. -
I was about to start a new thread, but I used search first. I own one, never tried skeet but I bet you won't do well. Trust me. However it is fun at the range. I have one on my night stand loading with the winchester personal defense rounds. 3 of those followed by 2 .45's just in case. (Also have a 12 ga pump at the ready as well) The name is just to top The Judge. However I like the extra Chamber and the 45 extra round. I never understood why The Judge could not use the 45 acp. (only 410 and 45 Colt) My Judge is the 3 inch Chamber so I can use the 3 inch 410 shells but the pdx1 are better.

I hate to hear anything like this. I don't recall much at 2 years old. But pretty sure at 2 I don't believe I could have find and fired a gun, at least not aiming. At this time I have only read the linked story I have not read the other stories. I don't know what the other 53 guns have to do with this, other the Media Hype, O wait that is it Media hype. My Dad always had guns in his Bed room, never locked in anways, ammo there. Trust me, I knew better then to even think about it touching them. When I was 10, he trusted me with my own, guns and bullets in my room.

Austin's Tennessee Firearms Training Courses
vontar replied to Jon_L's topic in Training Discussions
I took my HCP from him. I will have my wife take her HCP from him when she is ready. I have brought several guns from him as well. Since you are in Oak Ridge, walk in and meet him. You might walk out with a new or used gun though. Last time I walked in to ask about transferring a Mosin, I ended up buying a mosin from him and a Steyr. -
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR FIREARM OWNERSHIP TODAY?
vontar replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
A few people at work that now I am pro gun ask me gun related question and I do my best to answer their questions. I direct them to this site. Some that are interested I have let them know if they want to go shooting sometime to let me know and I would take them to the gun range. In short, I left it up to them if they are interested. Like religion, don't push it, leave the door open. I took my wife into a store, I had a few ideas what I was planning for her, and I started putting guns in her hand to see what fit. She has small hands. A Walter P22 is almost 2 big for her hands (practice pistol). I might get a PK380 next since it is about the same size. -
Jose Guerena Shot 60 times by Swat in his Home
vontar replied to JG55's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This event still has not made main stream new. You can not find it on CNN even. It happened on May 5th and look how long it took to make news even here. Allot of facts are being kept buried. I can image it will get worse with the loosening of the 4th amendment as well. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1391567/Iraq-war-vet-Jose-Guerena-did-open-SWAT-team-killed-him.html His wife is going to try to fight to clear his name now it appears. -
Well, I expect to fire 10,000, or 20,000 rounds at the range or hopefully many more before I see one perp. So I will wear my ear protection so one time I may need to be aware of a perp for one shot I may need to take at 2 a.m. I will hopefully hear him coming before I smell him. edit. Hopefully I will never see a perp at 2 a.m. or any other time, so my hearing will remain in good shape.

Indiana repeals the 4th amendment?????
vontar replied to Will Carry's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
BTW, I am not going to post it, but the video of the SWAT raid is online. I found it by accident when I was looking for the news story. It played before I knew it, It showed them drive up, go to the door, make entry and shots start., allot of shooting. It did not show the inside of the home or body. But it showed how fast they started shooting. -

What they did find was legal stuff that anyone could buy.
