  1. We can probably assume the car was in the driveway... how on earth could it go through a house at that angle? Would a .40 have enough power after a ricochet to go through a house?
  2. I've ordered from cafe press before, no complaints they'd get more of my business.
  3. I was in there last week at 9:55 at the cashier ran me through real quick saying they couldn't sell ammo after 10 anymore so it isn't just you.

    TGO Sigs

  14. UT, I live in south knoxville. what part are you in?
  15. BigBoostDSM: ya sure, I'll send ya a message in a week or so when I'm back in Knoxville. Rabbi: with high 90s/100s the temperature is at now I'd rather be asked to leave then wear layers. Fred LE FI: tacticly unsound? are we all swat now? I think I missed that memo. Tungsten: I have talked to security guards, police officers, store managers on multiple occasions. the kroger manager was the only one who was anything more then curious. The police officer didn't even ask to see my permit, so I know it isn't about being abused.
  16. has blazer brass .45 for $11.97/box. Just thought I'd share
  17. Your right I'm a college student who has student loans paying for just about everything during the school year, who saved up paychecks this summer to buy a handgun because I'd rather be safe then feel safe. But your right I should spend a couple of hundred dollars trying to find the perfect concealing holster which will take a couple tries even though I already have a perfectly good OWB holster which I like. But your right, my bad I was just trying to cop-out.
  18. And if you read what I posted concealing isn't an option so it's open or nothing, so I did answer his question.
  19. I have one holster, in OWB holster and I wear tshirts almost exclusively during the summer. So it is basically open carry or unarmed, guess which one I'm going to choose? So I'd say being armed is quite an advantage to being unarmed.
  20. In no way did I try to piss of the manager, I did not know that this particular kroger would not like my business. But I was very polite and in no way could have given the manager a sour opinion of anything. I finished getting my supplies for work and as soon as I could set my stuff down I pulled my t-shirt over it, it didn't help any and printed so bad a blind person would have noticed but I didn't want to start anything especially since he had been reasonable and asked me not to bring it back, he could have asked me to leave and remove it but he let me finish. Apparently I need to post more about this situation, I was dressed for work I am a camp counselor. I was wearing a blue shirt that says "Whippoorwill Farm Day Camp Staff" and cargo khaki shorts and teva sandals. Open carrying vs concealed carrying is a debate that will never end probably until the law changes in one way or another. But just because you don't like it or feel comfortable doesn't mean people who do/are shouldn't. You guys talk about community leaders open carrying and setting an example, somebody has to start everything. Some of you are business owners, managers, but we're all adults; why not step up and start something? If the very "pro gun" people are too scared to do it why on earth would the "real" community leaders like doctors, lawyers and such do it?
  21. He was on his own property, isn't there some law about not having to retreat? He did great and his neighbor's friend is lucky.
  22. Rabbi, I wasn't trying to make a point. If I wanted to make a point I'd wear one of those shirts with something "witty" written on it or on a street corner downtown with a sign supporting the latest protesting trend. I open carry because I am comfortable with it and like I said I have nothing to hide. I don't mind people staring at me, I know they probably haven't seen a gun (besides police officers or tv shows). I'll more then happily answer any questions people ask which is why at first I was glad I could correct the manager's gun law knowledge. But it is completely opinion based, and yes it was worth it because now I know what kind of store that Kroger is and there is a Publix that just opened right across the street where nobody has ever said anything to me before. So it is Kroger's loss not mine. -Barrett
  23. I was in the Bellevue Kroger this morning, the one across from Harpeth Valley (Davidson County for non Nashville people). I like to open carry especially when I'm in Bellevue. And the manager of Kroger approached me and asked why I was carrying a gun in a store where alcohol is being sold, and that it was illegal. I replied that since Kroger sold alcohol for off premise consumption that I could carry in there. He asked me if that was right and I told him that it was. He accepted it and replied that someone had told him otherwise, but then he continued and asked me not to come back into the store when I was armed. He told me that I was scaring the costumers and some of his employees. I said yes sir and that it is his store. I know that this wouldn't have happened if I had been carrying concealed but I'm a big believer in not babying people and I have nothing to hide. It's just frustrating and sad that people are almost scared of their own shadows...
