  1. Wow that is the strangest thing. I would try to come get on and check recipatory laws for traveling. I wonder if my browser was blocking it some how because it was completely blank when I tried to open. Well, I am thankful it is still here and doing well, this site is very needed!
  2. Well, I'm not new but I've been awol for a very long time. I've been a member since 2007, so Hi again!!!! I have a question. Did this forum disappear for a while? I have tried to come on here a few times and the link was broken. I thought it had ended. I finally gave up and then last night I accidently clicked the link in my bookmarks (because I had never removed it) and TGO pops up. So YIPEE!!! I never posted a lot but I did read quite a bit to stay up on important info. Anyway!! Hey Hey!
  3. OK you probably won't like what I have to say but PLEASE PLEASE don't get a Doberman if you are going to keep it outside. Dobermans are very master oriented, they need to be with "their" people. They also have a very thin coat and my doberman loves to be covered with a blanket to sleep at night and when she is napping when we have the air on. I can't ever imagine putting her outside into the cold in winter. Personally if you are going to get an "outside" dog please get something with a thick coat to keep warm.
  4. I have a black '08 Yamaha Vstar 650 Classic (for sale) and a new silver Yamaha '09 Vstar 950 Tourer..... my husband has a black cherry '07 Yamaha Vstar 1300 Tourer.
  5. I don't have a .45 but I do have a 650 and getting ready to trade up to a 950 LOL..... OK OK I know you didn't mean a bike. I have two 9mm's and a .380. So can't help in the .45 quest. I use to be here a lot but I have so much going that I don't have time to get on here like I would like.

    New CZ-75 Compact

Here's some more eye candy! This is my fav of my handguns, I totally love my CZ 75D Compact. Not sure what the difference is but you will love it AeroEngrSoftDevMBA and it doesn't hurt to dry fire it at all but it's much more fun to go to the range and do it for real!!!!
  7. Hi Ladies, I also started working, it's a part time job and when I am not working I am usually on my bike. I won't be riding for a while though because of surgery but will as soon as I am able. I also don't shoot much these days because of the economy.
  8. Finally got it today.
  9. I'm still waiting LOL, I have talked to them three times, latest was yesterday and they still have it and it is now in "service" whatever that is supposed to mean. I guess to fix the problem I was having with it other than the needed recall fix. *sigh*
  10. Merry Christmas everyone! God's blessing on each and everyone one of you!
  11. I did put a note in with the gun that I had a few failures to feed wit JHP's and would like them to find out what is going on with it. I figure that might be why it is taking longer. I will give them to after the holidays and if I haven't seen it I will definitely be giving them a call.
  12. Mine was picked up on the 11th and I still haven't gotten mine. :-(
  13. Tight here also, the grandchildren are the ones on our list. My husband and I don't have need for anything anyway so I don't mind.
  14. Boxers are great dogs and Dobermans are too, my fav are the Dobes but Boxers are next on the list. Maybe once your senior dog passes you can slip a pretty female Doberman into the mix. Not another male though cause they will fight and it ain't pretty. Congrats on Zeus, he will make a great addition.
  15. Christmas already? I don't even want to think about it LOL. Christmas is gonna be tight this year, the economy told my santa to take a hike LOL. But I don't mind cause I got my Christmas present in July when my bike was pulled into the garage.
  16. I always have to be different LOL so I mean no disrespect to anyone. BUT When I was new to shooting and getting my CP I didn't know anything about handguns. So I asked for others opinions and I was told by everyone (men) to get a .38 snub nose revolver so I got one and to be honest with you I didn't care for it. Some women are very pleased with them, but some woman just aren't. It really is hard to give advice on what is good for your lady so IMO the best bet is to take what you already have and let her shoot them and what you don't have try find someone or somewhere that will let her try them and let her decide. I think it will save you in the long run. I started out with a .38/.357 S&W snub nose a year ago and sold it after getting a couple of semi auto's. I now have what makes me happy. Three different semi autos. But that doesn't mean your lady will want semi auto's, we are all different. That's just the thing, if I would have had the opportunity to try different ones in the beginning it would have helped a lot. My husband has wheel guns, that is what he likes so each of us is different, I did convince him (because I bought it for him) to try a 1911 and he does love it. I don't hate wheel guns, I just love semi's so just because I didn't care for the snubnose when I first started shooting and carrying doesn't mean I will not get another .38 revolver sometime in the future. I just don't think it is always the best "first" gun in my opinion.
  17. I've had the CZ 75D Compact PCR for a while and it is an awesome gun, it is my favorite. It is one sweet gun and I agree with the others, this one will never be sold. Love the way it shoots, love the way it feels in my hands, there is nothing to dislike about it.

    Newbie

Welcome Sunshine23, I carry a Glock 26 most of the time.
  19. Well I didn't get on here yesterday to see this so I will say Happy Birthday to my daughter, though I did already tell her yesterday LOL. Happy Birthday Baby! Hehehe, she is still my baby!
  20. LOL Tungston, they can be hard headed at times but they are also very intelligent dogs and desire to please so training will go a long way. All he needs is to know what you want and he will do it but getting it into his head is the key. FYI the next time that happens don't run after him, run from him and he will chase you LOL. As long as you run after him he is gonna think it is a game and keep on going. What I did with Da'Kari when she was a little younger is give her a most favored treat, cheese and I would say "Want some cheese?" and she would run to me knowing she was getting something she loves! When my grandchildren have accidently let her out the door I knew I wasn't gonna get her to come to me cause she was FREE but sure as I ran outside and said, "Want some cheese?" she would run to me and following me into the house and I would immediately reward her with her prize. It is always a back up LOL I am glad to hear he is doing well, they are awesome dogs!
  21. How is Maximus doing? Are you liking a Doberman? I think they are hard to beat!
  22. Oh MrsS, I don't even want to think about that! LOL I will probably bundle up really warm and ride anyway. If it doesn't rain tomorrow I will be riding. I will ride into the season until I can't get enough on to keep me warm and then I will park it until a warmer day. Not sure yet how much I will be able to stand but as you can see I am really addicted to it. I think I am truly a biker and was born to be one, it just took me a long time to find that out LOL
  23. Hey there everyone..... I also have been really busy, I've been riding a lot. I've put 3500 miles on my bike in 3 months if that tells ya anything. I am also trying to help a friend of mine learn to ride and every weekend Mark and I either go somewhere on Saturday or Sunday. I just joined a Chapter of Women In The Wind, a womens motorcycle group. I am having a really great time on my two wheels. I haven't been to the range lately, I need to go. I miss coming on here and I need to try to do better, I just can't seem to keep up with everything. Congrats on getting the little man potty trained PackinMama! I was always happy when mine were trained, it is such a big relief to not buy diapers.
  24. You have had rotts and pitts but you are scared of Dobes??? hmmmmm.
  25. Packin, that first picture you posted is a fine looking picture of your best friend, he is very handsome and the pictures of Nitro also, he was a very pretty guy, sorry to hear that you lost him, I know that one day I will have to go through losing my girls, that is the hard thing about having our best friends, we have to go through the pain of losing them. Tungstun, Maximus is a fine looking boy! He looks like a big love bug. Rescue is a great way to help and get a great dog. You won't have to go through all the puppy stages and scary moments when they eat things LOL. I will most likely do rescue when I ever get another Dobe. DaveTN, your big red boy is gorgeous too! I had a red boy but lost him to an obstruction. His name was Nash, he was the sweetest natured dog I ever had. Of course ya'll know that I am partial to Dobes so here is my addition to the mix, these are my two girls, they are Da'Kari 3-1/2 years old and Eden 1-1/2 years old. And of course I can't leave out 'Cowboy'. I know..I know, I named my bike! Hahaha! This is up by the Ocoee.
