  3. Welcome sir
  4. Why in the world is Todd so against a clean bill?!? Simply poll the house members....if there are enough votes to pass it without the restrictions, then let it pass. If not then fine. Considering the amendment in the house that would have removed the restrictions failed because Todd didn't support it....guess there isn't much chance of them accepting the Senate version without his support....
  5. But not the smoking age. But...for a place to allow smoking it must restrict admittance to those 21 and over even though 18-20 year olds can smoke. No one said state laws had to make sense.....lol
  6. Correct or it also can be a place the restricts entrance to those 18 and up as well.

  10. Beginning to wonder how much longer this thread needs to go on..... I think even the LEOs have acknowledged in general there is no legal duty to answer questions like, "Where are you going?"; "Where are you coming from?" etc.. unless they directly apply to situation at hand. Even then you do not have to answer them if they may incriminate you. The other side has acknowledged that LEOs can legally ask you such questions, in fact they can ask you ANY question about ANYTHING. But as said you do not have to answer. Will some people refuse to answer even a very simple, basic questions if they feel it doesn't apply? YES Will some answer any and all questions no matter how ridiculous or irrelevant? YES Most will be in between. So....what is the debate over anymore?
  11. LOL...yeah, I need to get a life. Just glad we both said the same thing....and you did go on further to say there is a chance the bill could die if the difference aren't worked out...I just didn't want to think about that....
  12. It goes back to the House. There only question is whether to accept the changes made by the Senate or not. If they accept the changes, it goes to the Governor. If they do not accept the changes it goes back to the Senate and the Senate has a choice to remove their changes or keep them. If the Senate removes it changes the House version goes to the Governor. If the Senate does not remove it's changes, it will go to conference committee made up of members of both chambers to try and work out the differences. My hope is that even though they didn't want to remove the restrictions in the House themselves....that there is enough of a majority in the House to accept the Senate version.
  13. LOL...as long as certain phrases were properly used I'd say... Many of which I've bet they have already heard.
  14. Senate Bill PASSES!!! Passes without curfew or age restriction
  15. Didn't realize how much time I was committing myself to when I started watching...lol
  16. Great speech by Sen Jackson....got in about the laws in KY on OC, carry in state parks, long guns and motorcycle helmets...
  17. The Schedule page said 9:00pm but I believe it was 9:00am because they are in session now. Tennessee General Assembly::Streaming Video There are on item 5 of the calendar and the bill is item 12
  18. You can renew now if you like. You can renew up to 6 months before your permit expires. Your birth certificate or passport will work for proof of citizenship. Just did my #3 a few weeks ago myself, have always gone in person so as to get the receipt. Mine expires next month. I figure most TN LEOs know that an expired permit with a renewal receipt is valid. But I am going to NC in June....sure hope the renewal is in by then....might be harder to explain to an out of state LEO.
  19. Since the question ask what can you legally do, instead of what I may or may not do. Legally, if you reasonably feel the clerk is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death, you can use deadly force.
  20. No problem... ..and I'm afraid you're right on the other. It either won't pass or if it does, it will be useless for the most part. Especially in the larger cities.
