  1. Welcome
  2. Or will they choose another location in the hopes the workers there aren't armed since they know they are at this place?
  3. Try and find something to do and have fun. But I admit the few times my kids are gone for a day or so....I usually just end up enjoying the short break instead of really getting into much.
  4. LOL..thought you meant me till the black helicopter parts....
  5. I would say the whole purpose of this day and OC in general is to try and desensitize the tea totaler s and sheep to seeing a gun on a good guy. I will be at work and can't carry at all, so no OC for me tomorrow anyway, may try to Sunday if I'm out and about.
  6. I know some of this has been said, but he can because. He appoints the committee and sub-committee members He can sit in on ANY committee and sub-committee meeting and vote on a bill. He also is the head of the committee that assigns bill to be heard on the floor of the house. He controls practically all working of the house. Sitting in on a sub-committee meeting is how he defeated several bills last time. His vote caused a tie 4-4 and therefore the bill did not pass out of sub-committee. Had he not sat in as an extra member of the sub-committee and voted the bill would have moved out.
  7. Not to my knowledge as far as explosives and handguns. Seems like a loophole Disney lawyers had up their sleeves from the start.
  8. Oh...I didn't mean to make it gun owners vs business owners. ...and I totally agree, there should no be NO liabilty on the part of the property owner for my actions within his business.
  9. I thought it was the piece of plastic issued by the DOS that he was talking about? In regards to the post about wearing your HCP around your neck. Of course it is actually bold white lettering in red highlight...
  10. Well I'm a pretty big guy...so not much of a problem. I like that rig there, where did you get it?
  11. If a place is not open to the public such as a private club, then I agree the owner should be able to restrict entry or place conditions upon entry. But in general if a place is open to the public and is doing business IMO they should not be able to ban anyone for something that is legal whether it is being armed, hair color, number or piercings etc.... IMO (again) trespassing should be more for when someone has caused a disturbance that interfers with business being conducted upon the property. Not simply because you don't like the person being legally armed, the color of eye shadow or the length of their hair. I understand not all and maybe not even most feel this way.
  12. Only have one carry weapon Glock 32. 98% of the time UM pocket holster, right front pocket. Ocassionaly UM OWB at 3 o'clock and rarely a shoulder holster. Usually just if I am going to be on the motorcycle for long periods of time.
  13. 1. Restaurant 2. Parks 3. That places that are open to the public are allowed to post at all. 4. As long as the above remains in effect that the signs carry the weight of law. 5. Schools ....and while not a carry issue, No deadly force for the protection or property is something I'd REALLY like to see changed.
  14. As I believed I mentioned in the above referenced thread... Handgunlaw.us is always a good site to check when traveling out of state.
  15. Welcome
  16. Welcome
  17. 18 out of 20. Changed my mind on the year of the constitution for some reason and WWI, otherwise would have been 100%.
  18. Law nerd?
  19. The law says "the notice shall be posted at all entrances to the premises that are primarily used by persons entering the property"
  20. LOL You forgot to mention to bolster their post count a well....
  21. Well no, it's not a formal piece of indetification, I didn't mean it like that. I agree most people equate a gun and badge with a LEO, but that still doesn't make it impersonating an officer by law. IMO it would take some sort of action on the persons part first. I don't think that 99.9% want to be seen as a cop. I think a few just feel it will cut down on the hassel factor (I agree because the sheep may think they are a LEO), some may think it will help identify them as Good Guy in active shooter situation....and most of the rest either thinks it just looks tacticool or want to be seen as special. The rest of your post I fully agree with.
  22. Oh you'll learn that thread drift and delving into details not necessarly needed to answer the question and the like is pretty much the norm here. But makes for good coversation and long threads....
