  1. Yep...seen that before and I really want to try it...just never have made it there. Hell I'm in Texas at the moment...but not close enough and won't get to try any again...
  2. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2134 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2461 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7376
  3. Welcome
  4. True...all I was trying to say is that usually on a first offense you don't have to serve the whole 11 months 29 days in jail, some of it is suspended. The funny thing is...anytime you are actually sentenced to serve in jail that is less than a year (11/29) you have to serve every day, but a felony (1 year+) you can serve as little as 30%. I remember when I was working as a jailer letting someone out that had been sentenced to 3 years after serving less time that someone sentenced to 11 months 29 days.
  5. I have to say I don't see why a LEO would ask to search if he has already seen a bag of weed or an open container. The only reason to ask is to try and confuse the issue or trick the citizen. One of the things I like about the agency that my brother and sister-in-law work for is they have a specific policy against preaching to or trying to teach a lesson to a person they are dealing with.
  6. So Tungsten mutes him to let things quite down here...so now we go out and seek info about him elsewhere and bring it back to TGO?
  7. Welcome
  8. If you want to use the form simply inform the other party ahead of time.
  9. Glad you had a good trip and made it back without drowning.
  10. I'm not sure, might be worth contacting Williamson County and finding out.
  11. I think what he meant was, if you tell the officer No, don't start arguing with him on the side of the road as to why he is going ahead and searching anyway. Also don't try to physically stop him or if you are arrested don't try physically resist. Because I don't think some see simply refusing a request is arguing or resisting.
  12. I would agree...but Here is a case where a person was charged under 39-17-1309((1) even though he had a HCP. The case mainly deals with self-defense and 39-17-1322, though. I think the state made several bad choices in the case though.
  13. As previously stated....this is a list of places that serve liquor by the drink and will not include places that only serve beer. The list also doesn't include places that serve package liquor. Although it's not illegal to carry in there anyway, unless posted. I don't think Pizza Hut serves liquor. Although they are both alcohol, Liquor and Beer are regulated differently in TN. The state issues liquor licenses and the county or city issues permits for beer sales.
  14. When I first saw this, I didn't think of it as bad idea in terms of BG's breaking into the car looking for guns (possible, but not likely) or anything to do with OC (not sure how it correlates to that at all, besides OC has it's place) but more of the debate we've had of informing a LEO of being armed when it's not relevant to the current situation.
  15. Never seen a LEO only gun myself....but do remember LEO only magazines from the High-Capacity ban days....
  16. Me too....does what I need. Keep pocket lint, etc...from entering the barrel, covers the trigger and stays in the pocket when the gun is drawn. Granted it does little to disguise what is in your pocket though.
  17. Oh I'd say you've been the most active and staunch in your position, but not the only one with it.......
  18. I don't know for sure, but I'd say, No, they don't have to tell you. They could at some point have to tell a judge if you are able to take it that far. I would agree with that statement also......
  19. Not wanting to defend why I carry or to try and educate other is probably 99% of the reason I CC 99% of the time. But I am glad there are those out there that do....as long as the keep the proper demeanor and have the correct information. I agree you don't have to or should be required to and the main objective is always self-defense, but if others are willing to, let them I say. Who knows...someday soon I may feel like fielding a few questions.
  20. I agree with your statements. But MANY others think it is wrong to deny a LEOs request to search. Many think you should submit to any request made.
  21. That's about it...good for some, maybe not so much for others.
  22. Already posted... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8646
  23. Well...if it is changed to a time and location of when I'm not there...I'm all for it.
