    Favorite Gun Rag?

I read and collected American Handgunner and read Combat Handguns as well. However due to budget constraints (lack of work) I gave up my subscriptions and actually gave away a bunch of old books.I needed the space anyway.
  3. No but I would say that will be the only way to reasonably afford to shoot one.I imagine factory ammo would be kind of pricey.
  4. Thanks mouse.I did not know there was another location in Chattanooga.I thought the only 2 were Bonny Oaks and down around Warner Park.
  5. That particular model is no more a gamer gun than a Kimber 1911 or a G17.As far as durability "plastic" guns last as long or longer than steel frame ones. The 2011 versions only have a plastic grip the main part of the frame is steel.
  6. Just watch out for the redneck/gangster/meth heads and you should be okay.Or better yet get there at daylight and haul ass when you hear someone coming.
  7. They have a set distance for steel to be shot from to prevent being hit by splatter.10 yds IIRC.
  8. That particular gun has been around for at least 12 years or so.It was imported by Bul/Transmark first then by Kimber for a while. Now Charles Daly is the importer. This gun is not the same as the "2011" that was developed by Virgil Tripp and Sandy Strayer in the early 90s that is still made today by STI and SV.Charles Daly guns vary in quality depending on who is the manufacturer.CD does not make guns they are only an importer.
  9. IDPA is this Sat.Bumped up for the holidays.
  10. The RCBS kit would be my choice in a single stage set up.If you do any large amount of reloading the Lee Challenger will not hold up.I know I broke the linkage arm on one TWICE.I found a used Rock Chucker and never looked back.
  11. Battle was 31-5 his first 3 years and never had a losing season.
  12. He was gay? Never heard that one.Over the hill and out of touch with modern football more like it.
  13. His mother's first name was Stanley?
  14. IDPA would consider that an external weight, not to mention you would need a special holster for it.
  15. Wanna bet pal? I am 44 years old,no family, work a dead end job with work getting slacker every week.I have just seen this God Damn country elect a socialist president and seem giddy about doing it.I'm bored and could use a little excitement, bring it on.
  16. Can't remember,he was living in Hixson when he killed his family. My brother worked it I'll ask him.He shattered the skillet in the first murder. The ball bat was two doors away.Homicide has followed me my entire life, hence the reason I carry. When I was 13 our next door neighbor killed his son with a shotgun and back in 85 my brother and I witnessed a man killed with a shotgun in Fla.People who say birdshot won't stop someone are wrong.I think these killings were the reason my brother got into LE.
  17. Campaign signs make great targets.
  18. Used to be that all you had to do was remove the mag disconnect and the trigger pull would be pretty nice.I bought one about 7 years ago, removed the disconnect and it did not help one bit. I could not get used to the long reset of the trigger either.

    Fulmer Gone!!!

Actually some coaches would prefer not to have to deal with all the inflated, overpaid egos te pro players have.
  20. Other than 3 murders in my neighborhood in the last 18 years it has been pretty calm. They were nasty killings though,a baseball bat,a claw hammer and a frying pan(that guy served 8 years, got out, remarried and killed his wife, his newborn child and step daughter).
  21. Good God Amighty Damn Man,go vote and stop quibbling. This country is going to go down a ****hole cause some people want "change' and others think "my vote don't matter"
