I am far from the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to the high tech stuff so gonna ask for help in lamen terms if that is possible. I have a bunch of pictures in compressed files that I would like to get out of compressed files and just put in plain folders but I have no clue how to do that. If anyone may be able to give me a few hints in lamen terms it would be greatly appreciated...............

Assuming at least Windows XP, pretty simple.

- Right click on compressed folder, Extract All. Default is same folder your compressed folder is in, will make new (uncompressed) folder with same name with copied files inside, or

- Make new folder where you want them and choose that (you can do this beforehand or use the extraction dialogue to do it), or

- You can do manually by just opening compressed folder and drag/drop selected files to a new location, will copy them wherever, uncompressed.

If you can't get around your hard drive well enough to understand that, then you really should get someone to do it for ya while you watch, maybe teach ya a bit about file structure/management in general, IMNSHO.

best,
