I read a report the other day that said the 185 had the best rating in wounds and penetration. The 1911 was designed for a 200 gr. bullet. I use the 230 but I have the hornady 185s. As long as its a bonded JHP ,I see no reason to not use it.

I picked up a some from the Rabbi. It is accurate & reliable. Can't say i have any first hand wound or stoppage reports to share.

Did he have plenty on hand? I'll be in his neighborhood tomorrow.
