Hello everyone. I found this forum on a link from another forum. I currently live in Florida, however, due to the steady rise of homeowners insurance and property taxes, my plan is to move to Tennessee in about 3 or 4 more years. Looks like Kingsport Bristol area. Nothing against the "Gunshine" state, its just getting to be more than I can afford. My wife and I have been to TN a few times, went to Kingsport last fall and have plans to go again this fall. Anyway, ill be around the forum and maybe we'll meet up some time.

First ot all thanks to everyone for the welcome. Towerclimber, I'll be in Kingsport first week of November, vacation time!!! And for Tungsten, I'm pretty well satisfied with the gun laws here in FL. As you know Fl was a pioneer in concealed carry, setting the agenda that many other states quickly followed. Getting a CWP is fairly painless, and after I sent off the package, I had it in about 5 weeks. I think one of the most important decisions for gun owners was the passage of the "Castle Doctrine" allowing a person to stand his ground. I just wish I had better access to a range. The closest one to me is a 60 mile round trip. I try to go as often as I can.I am hoping that when I move to TN, I can get a few acres and just step out on the back porch and send rounds down range any time I feel like it. Thats my dream anyway. again, thanks to all for the welcome!!
