As far as the other noise about only needing a DL to purchase a firearm, that is all irrelevant.  If a private seller wants to see proof that you are eligible to own a gun, which a CCHP or EHCP would indicate, that is his prerogative.

 

Sure enough! I'm not sure how that one got by me. Seems pretty silly in my opinion.

A private seller does not have to sell to anyone and may ask for a DL and/or a HCP or EHCP, as well as sign a bill of sale, just as a buyer has the right to refuse to show any and all or sign a bill of sale. At any point during the transaction, either may walk away. Thems the rules. Don’t like those rules, then don’t buy, sale or trade here.
