I work for the corporate offices of a restaurant company.

When the Senate passed this before the veto, I had discussed this with our Director of Risk Management and Safety. He said that he saw no reason why our restaurants would post signs or ban handguns from our restaurants. So, while nothing official has been announced, *our* restaurants (Big River & Bluewater Grille) should allow guns.

glad to hear that!! the big river is one of my favorite restaurants. don't have my HCP yet but taking the class next weekend so i will be keeping an eye out for post like these.

Tell your Safety Director that another Risk Mgr said thank you for his good judgment!

Big River is a favorite of mine and the wife, though we'll have to take turns being armed so the other can partake of the beer sampler!

I believe the reasoning is that we haven't had any problems in any of the other states where we have restaurants that allow handgun carry (Georgia, for example)... so, why mess with something that isn't broken? It just makes our managers and staff the bad guys when dealing with the issue.
