I read on Wikipedia about IDPA and I'm intrigued. Could I compete with a Smith M645? Holds 8+1 .45. Would I need to buy a holster for it?

Holster, mag pouches and extra mags is pretty much all you need. Along with eye and ear protection.

Hey guys; I just bought 2 10x10 pop-ups to use at the range.....

Those pop-ups were GREAT!

Also liked the way we did squadded today instead of a shotgun start.

And I get the Brain-Dead award for the day. Was Zero Down across all of the stages until the last string of my last stage and instead of 6 rounds in the mag...., Yup - - - I only had 5!!!!!! :wall:

A strong side holster, 3 mags, and a double mag pouch will get you going.
