There is not alot of times you will need the forward assist, & the shell deflector sux for realoaders it deflects the brass out in front of the bench. At a range you can't get your brass because it is in front of the line. You have to wait till you get a cold range to collect your brass.:rolleyes:

I think you misunderstood. He was saying that his DOESN'T have the deflector, so you don't have to worry about chasing the brass in front of the bench. I've had AR's with and without the deflector, it didn't really bother me either way. I like having the forward assist, not that I've ever needed it, I've had other types of semi rifles that I wish would have though.
