Whether you agree or disagree with the healthcare legislation making its way through Congress, the time to act and voice your concerns or approval is now. Whether you believe that congress is on the cusp of trampling more of the Constitution or not, I urge you to contact your Representatives. HouseNet Redirect

I called both of my (so called) Senators in NJ and they are more annoyed than supportive. E-mail, fax, phone calls they don't care what I have to say.

They need to go.

This so called healthcare bill is an assult on our rights and liberty.

2000 pages of trash!

Washington needs an enema!

I fear that these actions committed by a power-hungry, deaf congress will never be reversible. I, like most, have family that needs SS and Medicare, but I wish they would have NEVER been enacted and now they can NEVER be reversed.

People want a lot more out of government than they can pay for. It is easy to blame Obama or congress or someone else but the sad truth is that, as a society, we want more than we are willing to pay for.

Who doesn't want great schools? Clean air and water? Health care for the elderly? Top notch national defense? Safe Skies?

Everyone wants that but who wants to pay for it? cricket chirp.

What I want is for the .gov to abide be the powers given to it in the Constitution. Regretfully, I see more and more folks think that they are "owed" something for nothing. Got to get "their fair share". I was never raised to think I was "owed" something I didn't earn, nor that life was fair.

I agree that I want and expect certain things from the .gov. I want them to listen to the people. I want them to hear the Constitution. All of this has been hashed out time and time again on this forum and many others.

I just believe that if you ever had a thought or opinion about the so-called healthcare crisis, now would be the time to be sure you let your .gov reps know.

My wife and I watched it live on cspan last night. We thought for sure after listening to John Boehner tear this bill apart that it wouldn't pass. When I heard it got the votes I got sick to my stomach. I know it has hurdles yet to go but the end is near.

220 to 215 and it passed? Is it just simple majority or do they have to achieve a certain percentage of votes to pass a bill? They only got 50.57% of the vote!

We need to really get involved this year and support anyone who runs against any Reps who voted for this socialist control bill. Check out how your Rep voted.

I'm on the district line for 5th. and 7th. district. On my voter registration card it has me in the 7th. which is Marsha Blackburn's® district who voted "NO", but the 5th. is Jim Cooper's(D) district which is most of Nashville and he voted "YEA". I'm still going to support any one who runs against this Pelosie puppet even though I can't vote for them. We need to find a good educated, well spoken, state candidate to encourage them to run against Cooper and the sooner the better. If massive campaigns nationwide to oust House Reps who voted for the bill, maybe some Democratic Senators in conservative states will get the message. It's up to the Senate now to stop our freedoms from being flushed down the toilet.

Other than national defense nothing you listed is the fed's job. Furthermore, there is nothing in that list the feds haven't made less efficient, more costly, and generally a bigger PIA by sticking their collectively incompetent noses into it.

True. If you want to see something that may be less than ideal turned in to a complete clustersex, let the government run it.

My Rep is Lincoln Davis (4th district) and it appears that he voted No. Good for him! Not that it made a hill of beans, but I really reminded him that the Constitution doesn't give the fed.gov any authority to do this.

I believe he voted "FOR" Nancy Pelowme as speaker.
