Moving to TN with Class III items

I am likely to be moving from Pennsylvania back to the Volunteer State in the future, and am wondering about what happens at your end. I'm within 25 miles of Philly and our county sheriff is a lady nicknamed "bunny," but she'll sign Form 4's for upstanding citizens with no problem. So I'm thinking about picking up a couple of items. I understand the requirements for the feds (form 5320.20), but wondering if there is anything that has to happen or be approved at the Tennessee end.

I think I just submit the BATFE form, bring my stuff (avoiding horrible places like Maryland along the way), lock it up at that end, and get on with my life. Am I missing anything?

You pretty much have it correct. Just send in the forms to BATFE about the change of residency/location of the items and you are GTG.

Just FYI, Tennessee is the only state in the Union that has a law requiring the CLEO to sign off on any NFA paperwork within 15 days unless they have a legal reason not to (i.e. you are a prohibited person, mentally deficient etc - "I dont think you should have that" is NOT a legal reason).

It is also legal to hunt silenced in Tennessee.

Get your 5320.20 and file your change of address form with BATFE and you are golden.
