Hypothetical...

LOL, that's one way to look at it. There's no right answer in these scenarios really... we could come up with an infinite number of scenarios as to what happened after the shooting but it would all be in vain. You leave, a neighborhood dog comes by, urinates on the suspects weapon and hand removing any fingerprints and the acidic nature of the urine removed any traces of gun powder residue from the suspects hand. Ultimately, as stated previously, you should not try and leave unless you are being presented with an immediate threat to your safety, then retreat, regroup, and wait for the calvary.

The scenario from the OP states that the "witnesses" become hostile. So it can be assumed that his safety was being threatened.

And yes, there are so many what if's that come up, and it helps in these "what if scenario" questions. The good thing about them is that many solutions, or potential solutions come up and can be discussed, which in turn, teaches us, the ones who are part of and reading them, more ways to potentially handle a situation that could come up.

You guys have missed a major possibility! Don't tell me that I would be the only one that would turn to my trusty carbine (kept cruiser ready per the law) and defend the crime scene from the roof of my car!:D No, I'm not serious, but I suppose if it came down to it, that would be an option. I thought this forum was for super secret black op ninjas.... Guess I'm getting my forums mixed up.
