I was just reading over on XDTalk and some guy posted that a new law was passed in TN that would prevent anyone from suing you if you legally use your weapon for self defense. Anyone know anything about this? I've searched but can't find anything.

Castle Doctrine protects us from civil liability and criminal charges if we lawfully shoot someone in self defense.

Right but the new law expands on the Castle Doctrine to include not only your residence, but any residence or vehicle so long as you are not prohibited from being in those places.
