I just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I have been hanging out on a few other sites mostly but I will definintely be spending more time around here though.

I am known in my circle of friends as the guy who does all the crazy projects. I do them mostly to see if they can be done. I have a Savage 223 with a tensioned barrel, another Savage bolt gun in 45 ACP I built for my wife. I have built a few rifles in 7.62x25 Tokarev and used one of them to sling heavy bullets at subsonic velocities. I handload everything I shoot except rimfire of course.

I used to do a ton tactical, shoot and move type shooting but since a helicopter accident in 2008 I have slowed down quite a bit. I am getting into more precision type shooting. I have a lot of gun related experience and will be glad to share it if I can help.

Here are a few pictures of projects:

Some loads, 230 graing GDHP and some 250 grain SST's.

And finally the subsonic tokarev rounds compared to a 45 ACP:

I was able to get it as quiet as a 10/22 shooting subsonics without the use of a suppressor. Because of the heavy bullets energy levels were in the 357 magnum range. I don't have pictures of the rifle itself, mostly becaues it looked like any other Savage.

Yes, you probably remember the stir I caused over the bolt lifts kits if you hang out there a lot. I am not worried about it and am back to handing out the 38 special kits when I am having "good" days with my injury.

Just trying to help people out over here as well, hopefully without all the drama that happens over there from time to time. Nothing that happend over there worked out as I had planned.

What is your screen name over there?

Dolomite

I thought I recognized your name and googled it and a thread about your state of recovery after the crash came up. I'm not on that forum though I intend to join. Welcome to TGO! :D
