PTR32

Just thought I'd update y'all on what's going on in the wonderful world of roller-delayed blowback rifles.

PTR91, a company that makes mostly HK91 clones (chambered in .308), recently came out with their PTR32, which is a clone of the HK32. It has pretty much the same old Vorgrimler action, but it's chambered in 7.62 x 39 Soviet. It takes AK box magazines (but not the drum). I have heard that it is a great host gun for a sear.

A review here: BEHOLD: The New PTR32, Initial Review & Range Report

Also, there is a new PTR advertising video that is pretty tactisweet -

What say you?

They are good clones, the ones sold by HKParts.com seem to be nice and Adam is a really great guy to deal with.

HKParts.com actually sells laundry equipment parts. I've made that mistake before too. The one you want is HKParts.net. Adam ships very quickly and will take the time to answer your questions. He also has posted over at the HKPRO forums that they are working on a solution so they can get the AK drum mags to fit.

atlanticfirearms.com is selling the various PTR32 models as well.

I'd bet the PTR32 is more accurate than most AKM's or AK-47's in 7.62x39. Almost ordered one myself; but, decided on ordering one of the new Vector G3K's in .308.

If they come out with a PTR32 in a MP5K size package, I might have to have one of those.

Nothing wrong with AK's though.

Jeff Walters has developed a shortened 32 (known as a 52). He has also worked on the mag well so it can take an AK drum.

Apparently Vector Arms has some 52K guns in the pipeline.
