Ok guys here is the dilemna:

I have too many guns and wife said no more or she leaves. So I am going

to buy another one. No I can't, but I CAN TRADE and my local gun shop

has a beautiful Kimber Ultra Carry II for $800.00 it is lightly used. It has

box and 2 mags. He told me $800 cash out the door OR he would trade me

even for my Glock 23 and my Glock 27. Both are less than 6 months old.

I REALLY want the Kimber but trust my life with the Glocks. What would

you guys do?

Tell her you're sure gonna miss her.:tinfoil:

Kimbers are the Jaguars of the gun world.

If they leaked oil, that would be absolutely true. :)

"Why don't the Brits make tellys? (televisions) We haven't figured how to make one leak oil yet." (Told to me by a friend in jolly ol' years ago...)

I just got my Kimber Custom Shop CDP II yesterday. After cleaning all the excess oil from it, I ran 200 rounds of a mixture of 230 grain factory hardball, hollow points, and handloads through it. I had a FTF on the second mag and a FTRB on the third mag. After that, it ran like a champ. Groups at 7 yards were one ragged hole, groups at 20 yds. were in the 1.5 to 3 inch range. Side stepping and moving laterally at 7 to 10 yards, I was able to keep 3 rounds within the 9 and 10 rings, thanks to the excellent MeproLight sites. Not too shabby for a 3 inch barreled pistol. The only PITA is using the takedown tool when field stripping it. IMHO, it's a great pistol and I'll be carrying it everyday. Is it a good pistol for everyone? No. But it is for me.

Next time you are at the store, pick up a box of paper clips for your gun cleaning tool kit. I think I lost my take-down tool within a week of picking up my CDP. A bent paperclip works just as well
