My EMP 40 is less than a month old and during the first 400 rounds has been an excellent pistol using FMJ ammo. I haven't used any HP yet. After the first trip to the range, the grips bacame loose and needed to be tightened. I expect to fire another few hundred rounds this week before using it as a carry weapon.

No experience with the .40, but my 9mm is absolutely one of my favorite pistols. Surprisingly accurate, and a dream to carry.

I have the .40 as well and am really fond of the little thing. Although it is heavy, my grips came a little loose at the range the first time but that was the only "problem" i had. Invest in a good holster and belt though, the kydex holster it comes with is junk.

I don't own an EMP but congratz on the nice purchase! I do own several 1911s and wanted to point out that the grip screws becoming loose after a range session is nothing but common to 1911 grips. Many people have solved their problem, or bettered it by going to the hardware store and picking up some #60 rubber o-rings and placing them under the screw head. Others have purchased small rubber tubing and sliced off pieces to do the same. It definitely helps.
