Congrats! I've asked Santa for a class sometime between Christmas and the end of January (my birthday). Just have to come up with a decent handgun to use since the only one I own now is an 1851 Remington Buffalo in .44 cal with a 14 inch barrel. (Shoots like an ever-loving dream, but they probably wouldn't want me fowling up the clean air in their indoor range.)

Yea when I went to Guns & Leather you could use one of their .22s for no charge. Or if you wanted to you could rent whatever else you wanted to use. The owner let me use a Springfield XDm to do the range part, & I bought it right after I was finished. :)

Awesome BBeck!! My little gunshop here in Kodak, TN is getting geared up to have classes soon! I am sure excited to be able to offer them. With the way things are going in Washington.... well we need to be able to defend ourselves. How are you liking your Taurus Millenium Pro? I have heard mixed reviews and would like your opinion for my customers! Take care and good shooting!

I have been happy with the Taurus. I have had it for about a year. I have put about 500 rounds through it with out failure. Before my surgery it was shooting a fairly tight group on the target. I would recomend it.

my experience was the complete opposite. Ive been happy with their revolvers, but had nothing but problems with the semi auto. Seems to be a mixed experience with these.

Congrats on the quick time...hoping mine will be here next week.

My wife just called and said I got a present in the mail today :)

So to put the time frames in order. I took the class Saturday 10/22, The DMV on Monday 10/24 and the Finger Prints on Tuesday 10/25. My Permit arrived on 11/14 it probably would have made it on Saturday 11/12 but Friday was Veterans Day.

So 3 weeks and 2 days.

:)

Congrats. now your wife needs one, if she dont already.

We are going to try and get hers in the spring. She is recovering from her second shoulder of the year. I told her after she heals we will start getting her in the range.
