UPDATE....this one however, not good.

I spoke too soon. Seems that this holiday weekend was a busy one for lost/stray dogs and BCHS was VERY BUSY!!! Come to find out that the pup in question WAS NOT Peyton...EERILY similar, however to my disappointment not him.

We are still on the look for him. Tomorrow I will be talking to the remaining shelter that has been closed.

Wish me luck....

She said there's a golden lab up there but she look to see if there's a choc. give me info age, size, and any other info and she would be glad to help..

Wishing you the best of luck finding Peyton. We had a Choc lab that we had for almost 14 years. They're great dogs. And I agree with the folks suggesting you put up fliers and call the local news stations, rescue groups, etc. The more publicity the better. Here in West TN they just found an 11 yr old pit bull last week that was picked up by an animal shelter employee but was never logged in at the shelter. He was missing for over 6 months and everyone assumed he was probably dead. Local groups helped put up fliers, billboards, banners, raised money for a reward, and pushed regular news coverage. He was found down in North Mississippi. The story and pictures when he was found and reunited with his family (2 kids) were great.

I just hope you find Peyton quickly! Good luck!

Glad you got your dog back. Theft is one thing I don't have to worry about with mine. There's no way she'd let a stranger get close enough to take her. And if, by some miracle, they did... dealing with her would be their just reward. :D

Have a blue pit, doesn't like strangers either, don't believe they'd get very far with him...lol
