editing post title

Could the OP have the ability to edit the post /thread's title?

I just goofed a title, and cannot see where I can edit it.

It looks like you can in "go advanced", but only changes it in the post itself, not in the forum list view. Only mods can do it for ya.

Think I found it...

Changed "4 GOP contenders of the Virginia Ballot" to "4 GOP contenders off the Virginia Ballot"

I'll see if I can't adjust the permissions to let folks do this themselves. I'm sure there's some reason I opted not to do that before but I can't remember what it was.

Thanks for fixing the "of" to "off" and looking into allowing the OP to mod the title.

According to the forum's settings, anyone can edit their thread titles. When you are viewing a thread that you created, scroll to the top of the page and find the link above the thread for "Administrative" and see if you can Edit the thread from there.

I'll sign in using a dummy account in a few minutes and try it myself as well.

I do think the OP can change the title of a thread and it shows once you open the thread, but it doesn't show the change when looking at the least of threads in the sub-forum.

I see no "administrative" from any page view or edit screen.

It will only be on threads you start, I have used it to close a thread in the free for the taking area.

I do not remember being able to edit the thread title as there was one I started and after I re-read it I wanted to but it was not imperative so I just let it ride.

Apparently just in the trading post section can not see it on that one.
