Unscrew the pump housing and check in there. These stoves typically had spare gaskets and jet assemblies included. Your milage may vary on the leather gasket. I've had success soaking them for a while in a light oil.

That said, unless you've got a particular sentimental reason for using the stove, there are some really great stoves out there that are less than a quarter of the weight of the M1950 that will likely cost less than the repair parts.

I have spares, the manual, wrenches, heck I may have one or two stoves NIB still. New gaskets (not o-rings, flat fuel proof gaskets) are available, as are leather fuel pump cups. New rubber checkvalves are simple - a punch, a piece of rubber gasket material, and contact cement.

The 'generator' assembly can be completely disassembled and cleaned (Luv those ultrasonic cleaners).

Other than the above, about the only thing that can go wrong with this rugged little anvil is the fuel tank rusting out, and I've seen that once in maybe 50 or 60 of these stoves.

Yep, a full set of spares should be in the pump tube. The rubber gasket is almost certainly dry-rotted and stiff as a board. Neatsfoot oil on the leather pump cup, please, as petroleum based lubricant will eventually rot the leather.

Listen to Mark@Sea! He knows the subject. I was at his house a couple of years ago and he has the most fantastic Coleman collection I've ever seen! He gave my son a little lantern which we used last week camping!

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Glad to hear the lantern is getting a workout. I've gotten rid of about half my collection, though - I moved. Managed to find a place with more woods around it. You ever want to go mountain camping, give me a shout - a couple thousand acres here to get lost in.
