The steel matches consist of falling and static steel targets. Pepper Poppers(big and little), 8" head plates, colt poppers, regular plate rack, polish plate rack, Texas stars, and assorted static targets of different sizes. When the stages come out take a look. It definitely will focus your speed and accuracy. And is a ton of fun.

Shooting steel can be a little frustrating but it is instant gratification to hear that "ding" on a good hit.

Dang. Other than speed and accuracy I have this shooting thing down.

You can shoot shotgun or pistol or both(different entries).

I purchased 5 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts that will be available to all competitors for FREE! I know some of you will be pigs but try to restrain yourself and allow everyone to get some. 1 dozen comes to me.

I will be on the range in the morning at 8 AM to begin setup of the stages. I know of one other confirmed person with possible 3 more. If anyone is in the area that can lend a few moments(many hands make light work), John and I would appreciate the help.

Remember, Allan's lovely wife is bringing donuts....no coffee for breakfast on Sunday morning.

Do I need concealment? Does an M&P pro with trigger job still go in SSP? And do I have to retain dropped mags? Thanks!

Nothing about the steel matches we do has any rules associated with IDPA. No concealment is required ever on the 4th Sunday.

Shot some steel today, missed more than I hit. Thank you Chandler for the holster and ammo loan. Good thing today range is cleaned and I got a new M&P from a good friend for a good deal. Next match is an IDPA match to get ready for the Tri-States. I will see if it will be the M&P or the Witness.
