They were also looking at bumping up everyone from 25mb to 50mb for free pretty soon in most of the coverage areas, we're back down to about 40mb, the only reason ours was so high in Knoxville is because we were less than 500 feet away from a main backbone

I was playing around with different browsers I tested Firefox, which is my default, Chrome and, Internet Explorer. The test speeds were 30 Mbps, 27.37, and 20.8 respectively. FYI. Had no idea that browsers made that much difference.

 

I'm not denying that browsers can affect transfer speed, but a lot of it has to do with different servers. Sometimes I test on a server and it is around 20Mbps, and then test again and it is 40Mbps.
