Shipping Info on ammo

Recommended Posts

Just in case some others out there are like me and wondered how to ship ammunition. Well the best I can figure is UPS is the only way and the rules are as follows:

1. Must go through a "customer service desk" and not a UPS Store

2. Must be smaller than .50 cal and/or 8ga shot shell

3. Must be labeled ORM-D Cartridges Small Arms

4. Must be shipped ground to the 48 contiguous states

5. Must be shipped requiring an adult 21 years of age or older signature

6. Must be less than 66lbs

Just thought it would be some helpful information

FedEx Ground about the same. But if you don't have an account, you can't do it at the terminal, so only leaves FedEx Office (Kinkos) though I dunno if you can do it there. Worth checking though,  if you have a heavy shipment, as FX Ground is cheaper than UPS Ground, and the heavier the cheaper.

You can also ship up to 150 lbs with FX Ground, but maybe that 66lb that Andy mentioned is a hazmat rule, dunno.
