Shipping a rifle from SC to TN?

I think he can ship it himself, but has to go to FFL for the 4473.

 

If your FFL will receive it from an individual.  And, you will likely have to send him a copy of your FFL's licence for the contract carrier to accept the shipment.

congrats on getting a HK UMP.  Are you sure it wasn't a USC? or was it a converted USC>UMP?

 

Anyways, it would be easier if it went from FFL to FFL since UPS/Fed Ex are sometimes pain in the rears for an individual shipping a firearm these days.  I have had some places tell me they can only ship it to the manufacturer which caused me to have to go back the next day when someone else was working to ship a pistol to a FFL carrying gunsmith.  Good luck!

It's not.  Private sales between residents of different states is illegal, simple as that.
