Which fish finder?

I'm seriously lusting over this one: Humminbird 587-ci HD DI GPS/Fishfinder Combo  on sale for 399 at Academy Sports.

I use a Lowrance Elite-4 DSI sonar/GPS combo, it is also very clear w/regards to detail & it takes a lot of the guess work out of it, it has some really nice features but it's not cheap, I will say that you get what you pay for in "fish finders" so I'd say if you are serious about fishing that you should buy as much fish finder as you can afford.

I have an old Humminbird Matrix 37 that I'm saving my Cabelas points to replace it with a side-imaging Humminbird.

There's a website, bassboatcentral.com, that has sub-forums for both Humminbird and Lowrance that provide a lot of good information.

MIne was $400 when i got it but at the time I could not afford the detail you have now , crazy clean screen ! I think I can see a 1/4 oz. maribu jig in the lower branch with 20 lbs. mono.
