Anyone planning on going? I'm actually going to have some spare cash around, so I might go hunting and maybe out to PC afterwards if I get anything that's begging to be shot.

I've never been to the show in town here; is it decent? I'd like to find a decent deal on a stainless 1911, or a pocket pistol of some kind, or maybe a couple AR lowers.

We'll see. :tough:

Come in the door and go down the first aisle, if I'm in my usual spot I'll be the 5th or 6th table on the left against the wall, with old military rifles.

I'd like to go, anything I should know about if my wife and I want to carry? We are Georgia residents so I am assuming we can't buy any guns.

Yes you can buy a gun there. You can buy a long gun without a transfer and there will be a GA dealer for handgun transfers. The GA dealer will have a sign up with BIG BUCK ENTERPRISES on it.

Excellent! Still not clear though if we need to leave our guns in the car or if we can carry them. This would be our first gunshow to visit, any ideas how much to get in?

I think it is $8 to get in and is good for both days but don't wash the mark off your hand. You are not supposed to carry a loaded gun inside but don't ask, don't tell is usually the rule.If you want to follow the letter of the law unload your gun, check it at the table, get it zip tied and put it in your pocket before 15 vultures ask you if you are selling or trading it.:D

I didn't get there until late Saturday. It wasn't any more special then the last one.

I did get a laugh at the hounds though! I hadn't even made it in the door when the first one pounced on me asking about my KelTec

Not many folks buying, only sold one rifle, and it was actually sold before the show, just picked up there. I was one of the few buying, bought six before my wallet-o-meter started flashing it's warning light. Got info on 3-4 others I'll be calling on once I get it refilled.
