This on the heels of an announcement from the camp of John Myer (ex Special Agent in Charge of the TBI for West TN) that he was throwing his hat in the ring for Sheriff of Madison County first of this week...

The woman who requested the order of protection is an employee at the Madison County Sheriff's Office. She stated in her petition that Woolfork came to her residence and “wanted to talk to me about getting back together and making love.”

She went on to claim that Woolfork “started grabbing on me as if he was going to make me have sex with him.”

Think your are confusing the Sheriff with the ex Police Chief, Rick Staples, he quit Jackson to go into private contracting over there.

I don't have any scoop but this appears to be another typical blatant abuse of the DV system. I used the word appears because it is abused all of the time as a vengeful or retaliatory tactic.i wish prosecutors would prosecute false reports by those that cry wolf. The ones that usually need help don't get it. If someone thinks someone wants to have sex with them that's not ground for an op. if someone swears that they're life was threatened and they were placed in danger an OP is plausible. I hear of cases like this and it pisses me off. We have women that want to fight in combat roles and make the extra money and we have the same that want to be treated as fragile scared and weak when its convenient for them. It makes no sense. Spend years with someone and all of a sudden he or she wants to kill you I don't work DV cases but the guys that do deserve double pay for putting up with all the lies and career destroying BS. Like my dad used to say : you don't like it? Pack your trash and leave. All this one had to do was file a civil rights / sexual harassment complaint and move with it IF it was true...
