CCW On Kentucky/Tennessee TVA Land?

With the National Park carry bill going through congress is there anything on the table for changing the gun laws on TVA land in Kentucky/Tennessee?

My wife and I sail on Kentucky Lake and frequently Sail/hike/wilderness camp on Land Between The Lakes where it is illegal to carry a firearm.

We want to retire in this area and buy a 30' sailboat, however, I am not comfortable being unarmed in a wilderness area.

What about having a loaded handgun on a sailboat for protection on the lake?

As of right now, if you have a valid TN HCP in Tn you can carry your firearm onto the lake. Ky lake is a navigatable waterway and under the jurusdiction of TWRA via the US COAST GUARD. Both agencys allow carry on that waterway.

LBL... Nope, leave the firearm at home. IMHO!

Before you go maybe you should contact the law enforcement at LBL I belive it is US Forestry service land. I did that before I went camping there and I was very surprised and happy at the answer I received. YES there is a legal answer then there is a practical answer that the rangers actually fallow.

Remember 1/2 the land is in KY where they allow park carry and 1/2 is in TN where they do NOT allow park carry. BUT contact LBL for their official answer like I did.

LBL is under USFS managment. TVA gave it up a couple of years ago.

I found this on handgunlaws.com in regards to carry on LBL in Kentucky and it reads the same thing for Tennessee on their handgun laws.
